For me I go to some place like Osis (over the fortuna lang ha st).

I kind of knew going into this that it was going to be a rip-off, but I wanted to give it a shot. I'm a fan of VIP massages and I make decent money working with my company, so I figured I would try it out and report back.

So the Fortuna Spa. It has a fancier name I think but I forget what it is. It's at the Fortuna Hotel on Lang Ha street. The hotel is more famous for its nightclub, and after attending the spa, I can say rightfully so.

The VIP package for 90 minutes is 1.8m dong. Kind of crazy expensive. I mean, the spa is really really nice, very well appointed, clean, professional, and everything, but 1.8 is three times the price of even the most expensive VIP spas in Hanoi, I think. And in the end, the services aren't worth that much more. For example, Oasis, across the street, is maybe 550k for 90 minutes in the VIP room, with a 500k tip if you're being really generous. You still haven't even covered your entry ticket at the Fortuna for that price.

Anyway, this isn't an Oasis review, so back to Fortuna. My girl was very cute and nice, and the massage was excellent. We chatted (in Vietnamese, I don't think she can speak English) for a long time, and the whole experience was very relaxing. At the end of the massage, she wanted 1m for an HJ. Which we all know is just out of the park expensive. She said it was because girls in other spas would have 2-3 customers a day, but she was lucky if she had even one. And while I can sympathize with that a little bit, it still doesn't take away the sting of feeling really taken for a ride. I didn't even ask about other services because it didn't really even feel like they were on offer.

I definitely wouldn't return, but I don't think the spa is really targeting a local crowd. With those prices, I think they just bank on international travelers and businessmen. Though I think I was the only person there on the afternoon I went, so it can't be too busy.

Final points: cute girl, very clean VIP rooms, very high-end feel to the whole place, but you pay for it. Service negotiation was tiring, and I'm too old to deal with that, but I don't really blame the girl in this instance. I wouldn't return or recommend, even though I had a great massage, it's just too expensive. Oasis, Kingston, Zeus, and Sakura are all better VIP spas for a fraction of the price.
