Great report Antifreeze! There is a section called "Other Areas" where you could post this report too, where somebody looking specifically for Pereira information would be more likely to find it.

I have an upcoming trip to Cali and have been reading the Cali reports to find out hotel "choices" - The Intercontintal and Sheraton both were mentioned. Some like the Intercontinental and do not recommend the Sheraton because of "guest" fee. Others recommend the Sheraton and disprove of the Intercontinental.
Hopefully one "expert" can give me some guidance. I am not into the MP scene and usually have "outcall" service in my hotel room.
Which way do I go? Sheraton or Intercontinental??
Thanks for the "feedback" - firebird

Neither, rent an apartment. hotels in cali are too damm expensive
if you have $$$ to burn, I'd stay at Casa de Alferez. I like the Torre de Cali (run by Spanish group GHL Hoteles), one block from the Sheraton and half the price (plus no guest fees!). InterC is where the clients of the marriage agencies and other clueless newbies stay. If you speak no Spanish, then maybe you'll feel comfortable at the InterC.
MJG, thanks for the feedback, but only will stay for stoo nights and company is paying for the hotel.
I still need some feedback - Sheraton or the Intercontinental??

I tried searching the forum to see if I could find any information on the Dann Carlton Hotel - but did not find any. Can someone advise if the Dann Carlton is "chica friendly"? Thanks - firebird
I tried searching the forum to see if I could find any information on the Dann Carlton Hotel - but did not find any. Can someone advise if the Dann Carlton is "chica friendly"? Thanks - firebird
I was at the Dann Carlton last year, (Oct-05) and they didnt give me any grief, however, they did mention if you bring a girl in after 10pm, she has to check in with the front desk. (for security reasons) they didnt charge me extra, as I had many girls stay over night.
I stayed across form the Cali tower. Very nice and at only $50 usd a night it was good deal.
I went to Cali last weekend, and went back to "kiss me". "Kiss me" was never discussed on this board, but I tell you all, it's a must is Cali.
What is "kiss me"?
"Kiss me" is a love hotel where everything is oriented toward an optimal copulation. Nothing more, nothing less.
So, here's my recomendation. Find a girl you like, jump in a Taxi, and say "kiss me" to the driver. If he doesn't turn around and starts french kissing you, the odds are that he'll start driving and bring you to that place.
There, you'll have the choice between the followings (prices may not be exact, but it's more or less as is):
1) simple room - $20000 for 3 hours I think.
2) Turco (that's a Sauna you Gringo) - $28000 for 3 hours.
3) Jacuzi - $30000 for 3 hours.
4) Presidential (Jacuzi and Turco) - like $40000 for 3 hours.
Last weekend, I went into the turco with my girl for 3 shifts of 3 hours (all night), and that place rocks.
There is a TV with porn in every room, a CD player, a good shower and the ambiance is all for lovemaking. The presidential also has a stage for stripping I think.
Enjoy the tip.

Pereira, Colombia
hell at those rates I might just STAY THERE next time. I am still so pissed at Don Jaime about adding the joiner fee ): Hope you had a good trip back to Cali.
The girl I meet regularly in colombia, often call me and says she wants my baby now. Well we are just in stage of getting each other and she wants my baby?
I told I am not comfortable with that issue and she's really depressed and upset.
Wow that's way fast and I am surprised that her reaction.
Is it colombian (south american) culture thing?
I am planning to start a small trip to Cali come july. Whats there skinn colour like and How do Calena ladies actually look like?
I mean does anyone have a pic of an average calena?
I am looking to bang some Salma Hayek look alikes. is Cali the place for that?
Thanks
E-N-I-G-M-A
Q: Whats there skinn colour like
A: More brown then average in Colombia
Q: and How do Calena ladies actually look like?
A: I find that 80% of them are far too fat for the sexy outfit they are wearing (lots of bellies and love-handles).
Q: I mean does anyone have a pic of an average calena?
A: You can definitely see the indian features in the faces of the women in Cali
Q: . . . Salma Hayek look alikes. is Cali the place for that?
A: Yes, you might find that type there
No matter how ugly and illiterate you are, upon arrival in Cali you are magically transformed into Brad Pitt just like Clark Kent becoming Superman when he enters a phone booth. You won't need to worry about what an "average" girl looks like as you'll be too busy "banging" J Lo and Selma Hayak look a likes.
I now realize the places I want to go from now on are places that have no folder on this board.
So what's the problem? What's there to think about? Why would you be uncomfortable? Isn't that perfectly normal thinking?
Yeah, South American culture is completely irrational like that.
Get real.
