To be honest I wish the Colombia Forum was back on moderation. The amount of arguing and nit picking that goes on between grown men is embarrassing. It also scares people off from posting. This isn't good for the forum.

For those that have been there, you know the actual street is hard to find. Taxi drivers miss it all the time. The main street is called 43G, and it's one way. If you see Amarna Club, then you have gone one block too far. Just get out and walk back a block to our street 26A. We are right across from Brinks Security Co. We are getting ready to build a nice big sign that will be easy to see from the 43G. Another confusing aspect is that our address is Calle 26A 43 (F).72, and the main cross road is called 43 (G). Don't ask me why.
It won't be long before most taxi's know who we are. As most of you know, we've been primarily a gringo place, and have never bothered to promote ourselves to the Medellin public. That will end in a couple of weeks. We will begin a massive advertising campaign with radio, taxi stamps, flyers and more. The new grand opening as a public strip club will be April 26th. We wanted a week or two earlier, but it's Easter. Our new Facebook page, and website will launch at that time as well. Most of the construction to the club site is now complete, and we are working on the short time rooms next door, and the rooms for the out of town girls to live. We have recruited 6 out of town chicas so far, and 2 are spectacular. So much so, that I don't' know how long they'll last. On top of many other expenses, Robert and I just spent 5k yesterday on 2 industrial 60, 000 BTU AC units.
But I want to be careful not to mislead anyone. Things can be hit and miss as far as girls. Nothing bothers me more than having guys come in, and have few or no girls. Eventually, some always come. And we have a select group we can call if we know guys are coming. You can always call our manager Larry, and ask him how it looks, or to tell him you're coming. If he knows, he will make sure there are chicas there. His number is 301 445 7735
Attached is copy of inside of new biz card. The phone number is a bit confusing because it's a hard line. I think one has to dial 034 from a cell phone.

If he finds some threadlines aren't popular, delete them and add others. Most people don't have any problem posting appropriately if there are clearly defined areas to post.
Making Trip to Medellin for Semana Santa weekend from 18-23! How's Medellin during that time for p4p? Hows the Mansion those dates? I'm going either way so a heads up would be great. Any particular casas I should visit? Not really going to sight see but to release some backed up stress and tension.

Especially on Thursday and Friday.
I was there once on those days and swore to never repeat that mistake.

Don't ask me why.[/QUOTE]The easiest way to get there is to tell the taxi driver to go to "Luxury Discoteca en Barrio Colombia." Every taxi driver knows where that is. Depending on which way he is coming from. When he gets to the corner of Luxury, go along Carrera 43G two blocks and make a right. If you don't know how to say it, get out and walk! It's really close.

I had booked it a couple of months back and I just realized today the mistake I made. I get there Friday afternoon so I'm hoping shouldn't be too bad. I'm open for any ideas or suggestions from anyone that lives there or has been there during that time. I'm down for anything even if it's a watering hole and just people watch. Don't want to go to sit in a room and stare at wall or sit in watching TV. If nobody has ideas I'll figure it out, I always do!

I wouldn't go that far. I've been in Rio a few times during Semana Santa and the only day that was subpar was Good Friday itself.
Medellin is of course quite a bit more conservative than Rio.

Thursday is pretty dead and Friday is completely dead, you better set some dates up beforehand. It is a very calm week by Medellin standards. Enjoy the trip.

I was taking pictures on the Centro pedestrian mall (between Plaza Botero and Plaza San Antonio) on Ash Wednesday and I'd say 80% of the people, including the streetwalkers, had ash crosses on their brows. They might invoke God's displeasure by their lifestyle or activities, but pretty much everyone sees the same path to redemption and paradise.
