In my opinion, that's not really the case. The "tricksters" are rare. You find them as the old broken beaten up taxis in north Jakarta near the brothels, or on the dirty streets of Blok M or other dicey mafia ridden areas. You won't likely find any taxi that doesn't use a meter at a place in Jakarta that doesn't have some nefarious activity going on. I actually prefer Express taxi over Bluebird because the Express taxis not only use the meter every time, but their price is cheaper and the drivers are smarter. If you want to get to a place that is not so popular, the chance a bluebird taxi knows it are almost zero, but an express taxi driver will very likely know. Gamya is also a good taxi, but Express is the best. Bluebird does have the nicest taxis, but many times their driver is a young kid who just started driving and doesn't know a thing about Jakarta.
Thanks for clarifying that Smoothy. When I was typing, I was thinking this, but when I read what I had typed previously, I didn't clarify who the tricksters were. There's always 3 or 4 cabs sitting in front of the Kota Indah alleyway and those guys. Boy. They're running the "last shift or else you walk" routine and usually, I just pay. Example. On my way to Kotah Indah in a blue bird it's about 80 k and that will include a tip. On the way BACK from kota Indah, I'm usually out 120 k. I look at it where the extra 50 k is $4. 30 and there's no way I'm going to sweat my balls off for 45 minutes for that. Also, I've tried hailing a Bluebird on My Bluebird App and these guys can never find their way to the right place! I see the little car symbol do you-turn after you-turn trying to get to where I'm at and it's ridiculous.
If you're looking for a cheap place and not a dump to stay, I've hit the d'prima ITC on Jl. Tiangseng before. Clean room, basic bed, shitty TV, bathroom is clean and the tiled shower was nice. I give it a 2. 5 to 3 star but after a long flight and not wanting to waste money on the room, the 380 k is cheap compared to the good quality of the room.
It was a total of 380 k for one night and I think I stayed there 5 hours just as a relay point to shower after a long flight, shave, and head out to Kota Indah five minute walk away. But I wasn't aware that the places were outright closed (I thought they were just really really slow). The bellman was a young kid who knew what went wrong and was quick to offer me his "friend" who was young and cute and did massages. She showed up and didn't disappoint. 600 k all in for ST plus a tip on the way out. I tipped the kid 100 k cause he really scored for me.
If anyone can chime in on the Horizon Arcadia, and share how the place was, it'd be helpful.
Kota Indah is an area in North Jakarta. It is not a hotel. There are several bars in that area. Look for names like Starmoon, Grand LA, etc. You will easily find it on Google Maps..
Kota Indah is not without it's risks, Like Smoothy says it is where every broken arsed punk and wannabe gangster in Jakarta ends up late at night. The security guys there put up with a lot. They are constantly being challenged by some punk or another. OS was there early in May and they wouldn't let this guy in to Grand LA who was getting really agitated. The stand off lasted about 15 minutes before he got in. OS was sitting right there with the security guys watching trying to work out what the issue was. It was a plainclothes policeman having a night out who still had his gun in his pocket and he wanted in. Security didn't want to let him in with a gun and they held that line as best they could.
Once you reach a certain level of wealth in tough guy Indonesia you can get a police permit for a pistol that you can carry anywhere in Indonesia except on a plane. Those dudes are known to enjoy a night out at Kota Indah.

Classic 3, 4.
I wondered and Inquired about that as well on my last visit and found out those rooms where we go to do our deed located on 3, 4. If you pay attention while walking with the girls from Terminal 2, there are one sided mirrors along the corridor where you see empty floors and that Gian Escalator. FYI occasionally these rooms are shared between T2 and T5. On my last visit, my duo girls took me to 5 as none of the rooms were available in 3, 4.
5. There are at least 5 floors to Classic. You may not see any posts about 3 or 4 simply because the businesses there have cycled or there may be no businesses there at all. I can't remember, but maybe Smoothy can advise what is on 3 and 4. Also, Indonesia has a superstitious thing about using L4 as a floor.
Grab or Gojek.
I have been using Grab mostly and no issues so far. Book using app and door to door service. On a rare occasion took Gojek as well but grab founds to be more reliable and nicer cars. Also, I can setup auto payments and Grab charges my MC end of the tip. Overall I find Grab to be more reliable, cheaper, cleaner and better vehicles compared Bluebirds.
Grab has a booth at the Airport on arrival and counter attendant can assist in booking the trip for you.

As for transport, use only Bluebird taxis. Or use a ride sharing app called GRAB. Look for it in the Play store / App store.
When the waiter came back and told the guy it was declined, the guy felt like he lost face in front of his friends and the girls so he pulled out a gun and shot the waiter dead. The sad thing is the guy who killed the waiter got off without doing any time in jail. Supposedly guns aren't allowed in Indonesia, but the rules aren't the same for everyone it seems.
Benderover.
Thanks for the depth of info, much appreciated.
1- 5.
To get to Terminal in Classic, it's through the main front door? Are the prices at these hotels all inclusive or do you pay extra for the room and extra services like extra shots and CIM? The #4, per Chinese culture, is bad luck - #1 and #9 are the lucky numbers. I'm not on a tight budget, just trying to figure out charges and so on. Prices at BATS, CJ, and others are fairly comparable to the punting scene in Bangkok (cheaper) and Seoul (expensive). Also, do you know how regularly girls get tested at Malio, Classic, Travel, etc. ? Girls allowing BB with CIP is something I don't partake in and I hope they understand the risks involved.
Thanks all for the info on Kota Indah, I might pass that area up.
To have fun at Classic anything, have a taxi drop you off at the hotel first. He's going to have to enter the driveway, get vehicle searched (standard procedure), drive into the parking building, loop around inside, and head back towards the exit. As he leaves the parking garage, there's the hotel lobby. Enter the hotel lobby and look to your right until you enter the atrium. It'll be five stories tall looking straight up. All around the inside of that atrium is like a mall. Pick your interest at all the different levels and go in to check it out!
When you finally select a girl, MMS will tell you a total amount. Pay her that amount and she'll bring you back change. It's fully inclusive for everything except a tip. Everyone will have a different opinion for what a tip is or should be, but 100 k for good service appears to be a going rate on this forum for Classic, Travel, and Kota Indah places. If you're super curious, the girl gets 100 k of your fee and keeps whatever tip you give her on top of that. However, she ends up spending 100 k per night overall being in the "system" due to bullshit expenses MMS puts on her account such as hair, makeup, transportation, interest, service fees, etc.
Girls getting tested? Probably never. They go in to get testing when they wonder why their periods been gone for a few months or why there's green pus down below or why their genitals feel like they sat on a beehive.
In regards to CJ's, I've taken a girl back to my hotel before for 1.5 M for LT and when the lights turned on, she was way older and fatter than I thought when I picked her up at the bar. I couldn't get it hard for the second round and she ended up leaving early anyways. So that was a bust. Then the second time, I eyeballed this gorgeous tall light skinned college beauty. Oh my god she was perfect. But she told her friend I looked mean and she was afraid of going home with me alone so she wanted her friend with her. Total 3 M. Sorry, that's a bit much and I don't need an audience. Her friend was actually very cool and was trying to help me out, but she just wasn't that attractive or young. Looking back, I'm 50-50 on paying the 3 M just to have tasted this girl. And for the record, I don't look mean or ugly. She was either sincerely a newbie and had her doubts about me or she was trying to upsell me. Both times in CJ's, I spent easily 1 M on entry and buying drinks for girls. Very expensive at this place.
Don't skip out on Kota Indah if it's open when you're there. LA Grand is easily the best hunting grounds I've been to. Second is Classic. Third is the masseuse girl that came to my hotel. Fourth is Travel. Based on this forum's recommendations, I've got to try out New Sari and the other joints in Kota Indah instead of just sticking it out at LA Grand.

Compare?
Can anyone compare how easy, cheap, plentiful, beautiful (face and body), and service is for the hobby in Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam etc?
China's pretty bad right now. No action at all and when it's even hinted at being available it's 2000 RMB or up for low quality looks and service.

Will Classic be open during Lebaran / eid al fitr? Essentially after Ramadan is over. 6th of June.

You must be coming all the way from South Jakarta. That's an hour trip one way. Painful. Have you tried D'Heaven at Grand Wijaya center?

What is the top price you want to spend for a 1 hour session?
Can anyone compare how easy, cheap, plentiful, beautiful (face and body), and service is for the hobby in Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam etc?.
To be able to give any meaningful advice or information you need to say what your definitions are. Your question is far too general to be able to answer properly.
All of the locations you mentioned have $10 girls and $1000 girls, some guys are swimming in girls they find gorgeous and there have been reports of guys being unable to get laid in Pattaya and Angeles City, who I find beautiful you might find hideous and the same for service skills.
Lots of info here and many can help. You just need to specify what you want.
Enjoy. G.

What looks intriguing is be fashion spa over by anggrek which appears to maybe be pricier but is a Plus-plus-plus location. I'm willing to adventure it out.
The last time I headed east from s. Jakarta, the taxi guy took a major major street all the way North to Pacific place before heading southwest again. Why do they don't his instead of taking one of the major streets straight to blok m or in this next case to Grand Wijaya?
This depends a lot on what price range you want to pay for a ST or LT girl. What is the top price you want to spend for a 1 hour session?
Well, in comparison to things I can say that Indo hotties run about 600 k to 1.7 M for ST and maybe up to 2.5 M for LT. These are all in excluding taxi, hotel, and airfare. If you had the option of spending a week smashing Kota indah and classic versus going to Bangkok, KL, Manilla, etc, where would you go for either hotter girls and same budget or similar hotness and lower cost? I'm assuming the action is similar in terms of sensual service, but if it's not and severely different, it'd be great to know!
I get a few days to piggyback a trip to any other location and the LB is looking to explore.
