What was the question? Looks like you got your own answer! I would say to stay home. Doesn't seem like you have a purpose for the trip.
I would prefer pataya over AC. AC is just a smaller version with worse food and no ocean. I just go there if I am I'm the philipines anyway but if I had the option to stay longer in Pattaya I would stay there

I just go there if I am I'm the philipines anyway but if I had the option to stay longer in Pattaya I would stay there
OK. So maybe it is not a good idea to head to AC from Pattaya and split the time between these 2 places. Because I only have about 1-2 weeks anyway for Thailand / Philippines so maybe not a good idea to lose valuable time for traveling and moving from one place to another. The only point I was thinking about was seeing new places cause I have never been to AC but have been to Pattaya 3-4 times so in that sense it might be interesting. Not that there is anything wrong with Pattaya. And probably hotels are cheaper there and food so much better. And maybe safer environment.
But I have read that HIV rate among WGs is a lot higher in Pattaya / Thailand compared to Philippines for some reason. Wonder if that has anything to do with your mongering plans?

Skip Manila?
AC at least 3 days.
I wouldn't skip Pattaya.
If I had to skip any it would be BKK and / or Manila.
I have never been to Indo but I hear Bali is a bore for mongering.
Manila is more money but I have had much more fun in Manila than AC. I love Makati, knowing a bar owner helps. But if you are having fun at the bar and taking care of the girl she will more than take care of you. Look out for dogs.

Heard some rumors about lots (like 100+) of new HIV+ cases in AC that Hygiene is aware of, but still let girls keep their licenses. Now I know they like to scaremonger and also habitually inflate figures by adding up all positive cases since HIV tests were invented, more or less, but is there any truth to this rumor? With the increase of baklas and unhealthy looking freelancers in AC, one should not be too surprised to see a rise in HIV in the BB capital.
Once we landed I quickly secured a cab. The kid said he could take us to AC for the low low price of 3000 pesos. However what he didn't know was I RTFF and knew that I could catch a bus to AC from swag mans for a fraction of the cost. So off to swagman we went. The last bust to AC was at 8:30pm. We landed like 6:30.
If you have RTFF then you might know that there is a direct flight from Bangkok to Angeles (Clark) with Tigerair: http://www.tigerair.com/sg/en/
Saves you a lot of time and hassle.
Nice report, thanks!

Nice report, thanks!
Thanks for the tip on Tiger. They have some wonderful flight attendants chosen without any reference to fair work practices.
When I search for BKK-CRk the Tiger site is redirecting to their 'strategic' partner for this sector. It is suggesting Cebu Pacfific.
Cost of return for my dates of less than P8, 000.
Astute travellers will know the benefits of arriving and departing from CRK, the friendly airport.
Short lines.
Quick arrival / depart.
Leave AC hotels at 1 hour to departure time

Where is the facts?
Where are the facts? Rumors are rumors, not facts.
Yeah, where? I did not present it as a fact. I was posting it here, hoping some knowledgable member would be able to extrapolate.
100+ is too many to hide if true.
As I said, Hygiene has previously shown a propensity to add all cases (over the years) up. Including now dead girls who will likely not be working in any AC bar (even if you sometimes wonder). If you are in the business of HIV prevention you need funding. You don't get that if you do a good job and present low figures.
It Hygiene is aware why wouldn't they pull the license?
The reason stated was "pity" on girls being the only breadwinners for their poor rural families.
I believe it's an inflated number myself, at least with regards to LICENSED workers. On the other hand there are some girls who have been working more or less continously for well over a decade. That will add up to many miles of BB dick.

Facts of HIV
This is the most recent article that I found. http://assistasia.wordpress.com/tag/hiv-statistics-philippines/ 2012.
Sectors.
"The government has evidently failed in assessing the gravity of the situation among homosexuals and drug users as HIV transmission among these groups become more rampant than among female sex workers (Macaraig 2011). Focus on prostituted women encouraged social workers and advocates to find ways to introduce 'innovative practices' in sex work which later proved helpful in radically decreasing possible new infections in Angeles City, Pampanga (ABS-CBN News 2011)."
The fact is that it is very hard (not imposable) but very hard for the male to contract HIV AIDS from heterosexual contact from an infected female through vaginal fluids. An infected male can infect a female with heterosexual contact much easier through his seaman. Most men contract HIV or AIDS through homosexual contact (seaman) or using dirty needles.
I always use condoms because you can get other STDs. You can get herpes, gonorrhea, hepatitis, syphilis, chlamydia, crabs, human papilloma virus, bacterial vaginosis, and trichomoniasis. If the only thing to worry about was contracting HIV through vaginal fluids I might go barebacked because it is very rare. All these other STD's are very real and much more easily transmitted through heterosexual sex than HIV AIDS.

It was fine both ways, but with CB's reputation for flakiness, you have to wonder how long it will continue as is. Enjoy it while you can!
