I have been to Passions and Sosua a few times I have never figured why guys pay passion pricing when the girls in the clubs look just as good and can be less.
That is assuming that you already have a room in a chica-friendly hotel. If you add the cost of sex with a girl to the cost of a short term cabana room, the Passions rates appear much more reasonable. There is also the confidentiality factor. If you take a girl out of a bar and walk to your hotel with her, any number of persons will have observed you in her company and be ready to retail that information. That might not matter to you, in which case it is irrelevant, but probably there are plenty of guys who don't want their novias to know what they are up to.

Firts time
What are the prices in thoses establishments?
I plan on visiting in March.
I have been to Passions and Sosua a few times I have never figured why guys pay passion pricing when the girls in the clubs look just as good and can be less. Passions does have a good rep for performance. I have heard few complaints about service from the girls. I will give passions another look but I found the selection at Classicos to be superior to any casa I have ever seen and the price for me was better.

From what I read so far, there is no drama with the girls at Passions where there's always the chance of misunderstood negotiations or attempts to scam you by the indie girls. I guess I'll get to do my own direct comparison when I get down there later this month.

Hillbilly
Again thanks Hillbilly for your on the scene reporting. Most guys here don't give daily reports when they are on the ground. Next up is " Old Kool", let's see if all the pre-trip reports from sex prison can equal the hype.

Prices

Yeah, why pay passion prices, but I have read a couple posts here over the last month where guys are running into non casa girls asking more then Passion girls. Yes, I am aware that the girls start high and you negotiate down, but from what I gathered there appears to be a trend lately the non casa girls are either firm with their prices or not willing to go much lower, in either case trying to get as much as a passion girl or even more.
And OldKool, I do NOT have your juice with the chicas (at least not yet LOL). I failed at DRcupid LOL. Having to use google translate and not showing enough interest had me strike out each time (except the ones that one literally cried about having no one to care for them or were beached whales like that last picture of Hillbilly posted LOL)
Hillbilly69: From what I have read from you, Jao, OldKool and many others, your assesment of Sosua is spot on. I really would like move in your guys foot tracks, but flying solo, and no spanish language skills, Sosua is a good enough place to get started? I started learning spanish for the last 6 weeks, and with the intentions of making some local non-tout contacts, I hope I will plan for future trips beyond the "circus", as I did in Thailand over the last 5 years.
Flying out tomorrow from LAX. Hopefully I will be able to meet a couple of you!

I think I forgot to mention, Orange sets up a tent on the beach on Saturday and Sundays now. You can get your phone, SIM or minutes there.
I have the same opinion of Sosua as Jaosousa which is Sosua is a trailer park or a Circus on the bay. It is what it is, if you want to sport fuck mediocre looking chicas and drink beers with your friends it is a good place.
Yeah, I kinda get that feeling from the posts on here, but everybody keeps telling me I need to experience it once. I'm in no hurry to get there, but I'll probably do it once. It doesn't help that Delta doesn't fly to Puerto Plata right now. So, if I have to stop in Miami, then I might as well skip Sosua and just go to Medellin. Pics 9 and 10 are interesting. LOL

You get a safer, more guaranteed and controlled experience at Passions. You are correct that you can find very hot chicas at Classicos for less than Passions. But you
also have way less control over the situation. Girls can cause all sorts of problems for you after you've left Classicos, Rumba, etc.
IMO Passions and the clubs on Pedro Clisante are very different situations. Sometimes I'm in a Passions mood, and sometimes I'm in a mood for the clubs.
And alot of days I do both!

Mulattas, you won't like Sosua. Or if you must have a Ocean and beach, you won't like Medellin.

No one in Medellin speaks English other than the non-Spanish-speaking or Bi-lingual monger (there are some Colombians that speak English, but they are very few, far, and between). I speak a fairly decent amount of Spanish and even I was having some trouble (especially with the Colombian dialect). If anyone is interested in how an intermediate Spanish-speaker will fare in Medellin for the first time, you can find my reports in Mr. Gogo's forum.
I think Sousa and Cartagena may be more comparable in terms of being equal (no Spanish needed). Also Cartagena has LDV which is very similar to Classicos in Sosua (although LDV chicas are probably 10x hotter). You don't have anything like that in Medellin (pro pickup bars).

I'll eventually make it to Sosua, but right now Santo Domingo is good for my needs. I read this forum just in case I do decide to take a trip up there for a couple of days. Temperature is more important to me than the beach, meaning I like it hot (warm) more than this cool (cold to me) weather in Atlanta right now. If I understand correctly, Medellin has great weather.
Savepros, I'm also intermediate with my Spanish. I recently joined this site called Italki that may allow me to adjust to the different dialects in each country. So far, I have,"friends" in Spain, DR, Colombia, and Venezuela. If everything works the way I want, I should get a lot of Skype time that should improve my listening skills. I should be ok by the time I take my trip to Medellin in the spring or summer.

In one of my reports I talked about us only really knowing "monger Spanish" which mainly consists of "What's your name?" "Where are you from?" "How much?" etc. Although fictional, telenovelas can give you a better since of what everyday Spanish conversations sound like. I alternate watching them with and without the subtitles. The expressions on their faces and the body language can tip you off most of the time as to what is currently going on between the characters.
You can watch some of them for free at Hulu Latino, although Hulu has been locking up a lot of their shit lately and most of the content is inaccessible unless you subscribe to Hulu Plus (h+). One telenovela I used to watch often was "La Que No Podia Amar". Lots of interesting characters (like Don Rogelio) and also has some very hot actresses to keep your attention!
Another thing you can do is watch some of your favorite movies using the Spanish audio track. Most movies now days come with a Spanish audio track option. You could also use the English subtitles.
Skyping is cool too. A real test of your language skills because if you cannot hold a conversation about everyday topics with a chica (best practice would be with a quote/unquote "Non-Pro") then there will be a lot of dead air on the line. You will just be watching your Skype minutes slowly start counting down to zero; especially if you have to stop every 5 seconds to try to hammer out something via Google Translate. Just beware that some chicas have no shame in asking you to send them money.
Some mongers will probably see all of this as "corny", which is why they will be stuck in Sosua with the same recycled h0es forever.

Jao es a pro monger
Sousia is great for guys who are looking ready pros in a safe enviroment. Guys with limited Spanish and wanting to court chicas. Jao and some other guy have time to cultivate non pros and semi pros. This a different kind of mongering. I will almost never use casas. Passions BB, CMp are working girls houses. Not my style. I enjoy the hunt and when possible GFE. Bottom line it is what ever floats you boat. Passions can be a good deal for quickie.

Moreover, I don't think the typical
Dominicana in Sosua speaks any more English than the typical Paisa in MDE. In both places, Spanish will enhance one's experience, but is by no means necessary.
I've met guys at the Mansion in MDE with 10-15 trips under their belts and next to no Spanish ability, and they seem to be having the time of their life. As a fellow Norte
Americano, I'm a bit embarrassed for them, but yeah, they're obviously enjoying themselves.

It seems alot of posters here
badmouth the quality in the DR (and particularly in Sosua). While on average I do agree MDE chicas are facially more attractive than the
Dominicanas, I don't think the difference is that substantial. You can find some serious stunners in the DR (including Sosua). Again that's if you like Mulattas.
As I opined in a previous post, I think Colombian and the DR are roughly on a par as mongering destinations. Both very worthwhile places, but a significant
step below Brasil and Thailand.
