What do we really want? Hotel choices, supply of babes, cold beer, avoiding Manila traffic. A nicer seaside area like Mactan Island could be an alternative. Or Mandaue area could emerge as viable alternatives.

Cebu has a very weird view of the pay to play business, The first time ever went to Cebu's Mango ave was ripe with street walkers and the girly bars were poppin. Cebu kind of went backwards in that regard and kind of ruined mango ave and mongering in general. The last time I went to cebu was horrible, the last bar fine I had there they made you wait outside for the girl and they would usher you into a taxi. The monger scene in general in cebu got to a frustration point with me.

The reason why AC will never die is because its a shithole. The same thing you see as a hassle is the reason why it makes such a great mongering destination. There is ample transportation from the provinces to Dau and clark for easy domestic travel for the girls. The girls are offered a measure of anonymity due to the foreigner focused business. In other destinations like cebu you have to go to restaurants and business that cater to non mongers, in AC you live kind of in a bubble where everyone is either a working girl or monger. Philipino girls are "shy" so this bubble gives them some security or what they perceive as security, no shame in AC towards bar girls and their "customers". The girls in AC often times tell their parents they work in manila since it is close, if you look at bar girls facebook profiles it will say they work in manila most likely. There is are also business (clothes, food, hair, boarding houses, that often "utang" for new girls) that specifically cater to bar girls in AC. Places like Subic could easily overtake but it has a giant problem a highway runs through it (can't get too wasted because you risk death if you wander to far out into the road). Like it or not AC is still the perfect destination for mongering for the foreseeable future imo. Freelancers which I see as a more advanced form of mongering there are better destinations, but for pure bar girl type mongering AC isn't going where any time soon.

Also when AC seems to be going down hill, there is always another sucker who is willing to risk their retirement opening a bar. It happens in waves Westerners, Japanese, Korean, Chinese. AC for whatever reason is very resilient. Endless stream of eager investors.

Generally you meet girls online chatting and there is no shame in asking for sex. Many agree for money. I have met and had lots of fun with many I met online. Some even introduced their friends. In some ways this can be fulfilling but I don't see Cebu turning into the monger hotspot that outshines AC in terms of bar girls.

You know that AC is a risky place too. Lewis Yakich, owner of the Lewis Grand Hotel and High Society bar disappeared and was never found. This guy was well connected. Google "Murder in Angeles city" and see how many hits you get.

Don't get me wrong, I liked occasional visit to AC. But over the years, talent kept going downhill. The recent trend in Korean ownership and then destroying all the fun for the rest of us is well documented on AC thread.
