What are our mongering options once we reopen from our lockdown? I know our whereabouts and every movement have always been tracked, but it will be even more so after we reopen. For example, we will have to show our health codes and even have it scanned (digital sentry or by boa-an) to enter most places. Would like to hear people's thoughts, and even speculations, about this.

Currently our compound is requiring us to scan our green codes to reenter (the digital sentry you noticed), which means you'll definitely be on a close contacts list should something ever come up (the nightmare scenario, alongside being locked down with a "friend" Figure break it down by the options:
Incall: Depends on the compound, but I figure the girl you're seeing will account for this. Might be popping in through the car park. Some bao'an's could be extra eager about visitors and we stick out (on a side note I'm hopeful the huge amount of cases will somewhat reduce the amount of bao'ans who think every foreigner has covid). This will surely limit the freewheeling SWs on Yanping who take you into a nearby housing complex to a deserted stairwell.
Outcall: Same issue and not an option for some of us.
Venue-based: Spas / MPs, gritty bars like T nearby M / J where you can get serviced in the weird upstairs area. These places will have plenty to deal with with just the increased oversight, which alone can limit services.
Venue based is probably the safest option actually, from a covid rules point of view. Anything residential is going to be hit or miss, changing day by day, and with a variety of risks that a business won't carry.
Also, so so so many locals have returned to their hometowns so I figure that'll have an effect on availability. I can only imagine how the Viets faired during this time too. Poor hairdressers, anybody know how they are doing? I think each of our black books is going to be much much slimmer should hobbies resume.

So to go into a public place, we have to scan a code that will show a green code and that we have taken the covid test within the last 48 hours. The few regulars that I have made in HZ asked if I could pay in cash so their exact location won't be compromised by the wechat / alipay app. I guess, it's for in case I have visited an area that pops up with a covid case.
I did visit a spot a few months back that didn't do any scanning but took payment by cash or wechat / alipay. But HZ hasn't been locked down like SH so they might be a little bit more on edge coming out of that.

I am rather tempted by trying to arrange office outcalls, in the evenings. I think in our set-up, there wouldn't be a huge problem getting the service provider in, particularly after hours. I am getting rather excited at the idea of sex in my office. Yes, there is a lack of amenities, but there is also so much scope for role-playing, with the right kind of provider.

Until July end. It's better be safe than sorry! Each and every move is monitored, so better skip all activities until July end.

One guy I know says he never scans the MP QR code he gets round it by taking a screenshot of his valid code just before going in, and then simply showing it to the guy at the desk, putting his phone on airplane mode while he's in there, and then paying in cash. But for me, the whole 'papers please' environment we find ourselves in, and total loss of discretion has completely put me off mongering right now, so I too will also be lying low for the time being.

If the place has a positive for covid, then authorities will be able to track him down easily, even if he did not scan or if his phone was off or on airplane mode.
At this point, I think that we should all just assume that no matter what, our whereabouts can always be tracked down. And so, if you do any mongering, then have plausible dieniability. For example, do not go to sleezy MPs, do not check into a hotel, and do not do incalls (how can you explain why you were in a run-down compound, which is where many incalls reside? If you are able to do outcalls, that might be your best bet, although I usually do not like it when these gals know where I live, and so any time I did outcalls I always told them the place belongs to my friend.
As for me, I was flirting with my veggie masseuse pre-lockdown, and when I returned, I continued my flirting. We actually made out the last time I was there and she stroked little bro while we were making out. And then I tipped her when I left. Sure, these veggie providers are not the hottest gals on earth, and many look like Shrek, but if one if halfway decent, then maybe lower the standards for now and try your luck. They are all desperate for money right now.
This lockdown killed my libido though. Right now, I am still just happy being able to have a beer and pizza. But lately, as the weather has been hot, I am noticing more gals in short skirts. Man, that will certainly bring the libido back in full force, and hopefully Shanghai is normal by then. Which means that our whereabouts will still be known, but hopefully zero covid.

Could they still track me down if walked in wearing a baseball cap and face mask, paid in cash, left my phone at the office and found a place that doesn't check codes? If yes then that's some serious surveillance going on there, and it's a big reason why more and more laowai are quitting China for good.
However as I mentioned, there are places open now, and we're down to practically zero cases across the whole city, so the chances of a positive case in a recently visited MP must be close to zero. So if you are going to go for it, a legit MP providing veggie options as well as extras is probably your safest bet.
Alley way MP will open in about one week on WHD road near the Y where Wuning Road heads north. Walk to the left at the Y . Alley just on the left. Hopefully dining at the Y is available. Always a happy ending.
Had an afternoon free today, considered how to best use it. 91 mm is gone and down, so I don't have much appetite for learning / buying a member ship with the alternate site that starts with x. Some MR numbers don't even ring. Options are stale. No energy or drive to spend too much time in the car going outside of downtown, so one or two in my rotation are off the menu if they were even here. Checked telegram nearby and its basically about blockchains. Even the fake model photo accounts link out to something about blockchains LOL, which is telling. Is M and J even operating in some capacity? Passed by but unable to partake, saw some probable customers hanging for a beer and one get led south towards Kerry Center by what looked like a tout. While the search is half the fun, it feels pointless now. Anybody else feeling the same?

After a decade here, I'm on the way out soon. I'll miss the golden era of this city, but I do believe things will become interesting again in the future.
For my last few rounds I've been visiting the Jiangning Road. Chain in Jing'an you probably know about. 598 CNY gets you one hour with he.
