I will be in Puerto Plata / Sousa area in December, I will be renting a condo there. I need to know what is the best supermarket to buy food and supplies. I will only be in the area for a week. I have been to Rio and the northeast, mainly Fortaleza and Natal, but also Salvador and Maceio. Brazil is my favorite country to visit. There is just something about their culture that is hard to put in words.
(But I have never been south of Rio and do not know what that is like. The south is supposed to be more European than the north.)
Colombia. Mainly Cartagena (3 years before the secret service)
DR. Mostly Sosua, but have been to Santo Domingo and Bavaro and the Samana Peninsula years ago.

For a week, you should be able to get by with whatever is closest to your place.
