I got covid last year and it was literally nothing more than a flu. I was able to work almost throughout. Things don't seem to be the same this time, it is just more grim and serious. Mortality statistics aren't telling the right picture, there should be a metric that tracks total cases to hospitalization even if for one day. I guess that would be 5 times higher than last year. No where in India is the number of deaths being reported correctly and that includes Kerala. May be better than others but still nowhere near correct figure. Biggest reason for sudden panic is that the issue was hushed up in the last 6 months due to two elections and the media also happily tagged along. Last few months very little to no checking was done. As soon as the elections got over, the media switched back to covid and began creating panic. Remember going to a hospital with a relative for covid vaccine a month and half back. It was deserted almost. No rush no queues nothing. And now people are stampeding for vaccines. Main reason for spread in Kerala is density of population through out the state irrespective of whether it is a town or village or metro. The reality is nobody actually knows what is happening, the information or misinformation that you get depends on which media outlet you follow and their bias.

Standard rate at lime spa is 3 k. Guy at counter will ask you to call their customer care at Kochi & check for discounts if any. Lady at CC will say 2.5 k. All just drama.

Very good question. Kerala public were not careless. We mostly wear mask. But the cases are not coming down even after long lock downs. One of my doctor friend is telling it may be spreading through air and stays in the air for sometime. All we can do now is just hope and expect some magic. Now lock down extended. Be safe.

Let me introduce all of you. I am a newbie to the ISG forum and was quite overwhelmed and surprised to see that there are such groups who can really help in meeting ones wildest desires and was quite fascinated to see that the so called Spas and Massage parlors in the local areas is my hunting grounds.
