It's as simple as that. They don't care what you did. They are looking for "tells." Sweating, nervousness, body language indicating you're lying or hiding something. They are not the morality police and you could tell them you were banging h0's and there's nothing they could / would do about it. But just keep it simple. Visiting GF. Visiting friends. Sightseeing. They won't ask names.

I often say I was in a Hong Kong club, had 1-2 beers and watched the show on stage. Nothing is illegal here. Dude we're not in North Korea. (but don't say chica name, Cascadas hotel room number, how much did you pay for sex etc because that's too much information hehehe). Also good answer dinner in a restaurant eg Caesar's, LOS Panchos on Av. Revolucion or at Zona Norte restaurant Azul or Montecarlo. Very often, a CBP officer does not ask anything.
