Instead of Boracay go to Cebu. It's a lot cheaper and more plentiful. Of course the beach isn't as nice.

I did two weeks in Bangkok two years ago and got to Phuket for a week on that same month-long trip. I devoted twenty-eight days straight to Pattaya about six months ago (and had a banging good time too). I did Malate (LA Cafe) and Makati, Angeles City, Subic Bay and Palawan (El Nido, where I got bitten by two mosquitos and ended up with both malaria and dengue fever) a year ago, and hit Boracay (which I loved) and Bohol on the same month-long trip. I intend to hit Angeles City again, but probably not Manila because I prefer beaches to excessively humid cities. I'll hit Phnom Penh for sure, touching down in Siem Reap and hitting Sihanoukville for sure, probably for about a week (to combine the beach life with the girls). Koh Samui is on the hit list too. So is Macau. So is Hong Kong. Jakarta too. I see that Vietnam is not on your list, and there are a couple of other notable differences. Food for thought. And the nice thing about putting some planning thought into this months in advance, and getting good advice, is that it gives me time to digest, so thanks again to you and others for helping me make a good trip better.

I used to love Jakarta but it's been awhile since I have been back. But, imo, Indos and Pinays are the most beautiful women in Asia, if not the planet. And for pure pleasure, you'll not find better value than PI or Indonesia. The added attraction to either of those places for me is that you can easily meet girls on the street as well as in bars or facilities.

Personally, I dislike Angeles and would substitute Cebu for it but different strokes for different blokes.

P4P is a fluid and not easily-defined activity for girls in these areas. But they all need dosh and if you have some game, banter, and especially, a good heart, my experience says you will find gems in the most unlikely places in PI and Indonesia. Less so in Thailand.

My home is Chiang Mai. It's a city I love but as for P4P, stay home. If you need a little rest and can either go celibate a few days, or bring a bird with you, you will never regret a visit to CM.

By way of background, I spent a month in Thailand two years ago, another month in the Philippines one year ago and another month exclusively in Pattaya about six months ago. On that trip I had been planning to do Vietnam and Cambodia bet decided at the last minute to shift my focus to Pattaya. On the upcoming trip, in Thailand (having already been to Bangkok for two weeks, Phuket for two weeks and Pattaya for four weeks), I was toying with the idea of skipping those places and spending a few days in each of the following: Hat Yai, Krabi, Koh Samui (or one of the adjacent islands) and Hua Hin. I was also figuring on flying to Chiang Rai for a few days, then taking a bus to Chiang Mai, but your advice inclines me to think twice about that aspect of the plan. I have scoped out about three weeks for Thailand. It is now just a matter of fine-tuning the itinerary. I am happy to do touristy things from time to time, but that is very much my secondary objective, not the first. And that is why I am going to have to revisit my plan to invest upwards of two weeks in Vietnam. I might also have to trim back my plans for Cambodia. I was hoping for more there.
