You can ask yourself the same question, like what does some of the discussion in the Bangkok thread has to do with BKK? You showed up about five years too late to ask about thread intergrity, that went out the door ages ago.

I can understand why some of the threads go astray from a certain query on someones trip report and it spirrals from there. Where the other post was just totally random.
First I will say thanks for all the replies and tips about finding an interesting place to visit.
I visited The Castle last night.
Seemed to me it was about 50/50 regarding slaves and mistresses in there and I got a very nice welcome.
Spoke with the mamasan and she listened well to my desires, gave me a big smile and ended up getting two girls for me, both cute looking.
Rates for the girls are a little higher than normal, but in my eyes totally ok.

High season is now in full swing. Not quite the levels of last year but certainly lots of people paying top dollar for average meat. It's best to grab your meat as soon as you see something you like and cut a deal or else you'll be home playing with yourself. Now is not the time to bust out your thai language skills as most of the girls will give you the cold shoulder. This is the time the girls maximize their profits on all the dumb tourists. Low season is better for the hardcore mongers.

What would be fun and helpful to many of us would be for you experts to list your top 5 "Can't Miss" places to go in Pattaya. Feel free to make it top 10 if 5 just doesn't do it!

It just goes to show that us mongers see things differently than the average soul. I have a good friend who is a nurse in Pattaya. She tells me that things are unusually slow and much less farangs around that there usually is for this time of year.

Yesterday evening in Pattay, New Year's eve, was pretty crazy. I checked first the Beach Road, but it seemed that at around 19h, the selection was not so good anymore. So, I went to the Kitten Club. There, I met a very prettyand crazy young girl of maximum 20 years. She was very nice, with a stunner boddy. But her tits were tunded up, and this is a turn off for me. I like big tits, but still prefer the small ones, as long as they are natural. Therefore, and since she was a bit hyper-active (what to do with her in the bed, if she is running around all the time?), I decided to go to the next place. I went to about two more bars, before I ended up again in the Windmill Club, which started to become one of my favorites. There, I met my take-out from last night, but wanted some new experience for this new year's eve night. After a while and after drinking with a number of girls, I finally decided for one.
But when I asked for the bar fine, I was shocked. Last night, they already asked for 1'000 THB for LT - but my girl left immediately after the deed. Tonight, the Windmill staff claimed the bar fine to be 2'500 THB for LT and 1000 for ST. But ST means in their own place just upstairs - a definite no-go for me. I tried to discuss with the waitress, and also asked her to check with the boss. But the answer was simply "other bars do the same". So, I asked to talk to the boss directly, but he did not care to come over. On the other hand, as his guest I did not intend to run after him. At the end, there are plenty of other bars around. So I reported to him - through the waitress - that I will inform fellow mongers via the Internet. However, his answer was that he doesn't care. Ok, if he does not need to care (because his place is full anyhow), so then I don't care either. First, I did not take any girl out, and second I inform now you fellow mongers on WSG about thebad attitude of the boss of Windmill Club. It's a real pity, since the club is really sleazy and good fun. But, I believe the attitude of the boss "squeeze all what you can out of the stupid monger guests" should not be accepted. Of course, I am aware that it's all about money. But being ignorant about customers is no good thing. What is your opinion?
I will not go to the Windmill Club, at least during this stay and until I hear better news. If we want to teach the guy some lesson, then I suggest we boycott the Windmill Club for a certain while. This guy needs to learn what a customer friendly behaviour is. I think this should be in our interest. So, if you want to help keeping bar owners down to earth, don't go to the Windmill Club for the next few days. Let's use our buying power, as it is probably the only language that he understands.
So, I went then to some other clubs. Living Dolls asked for 2'000 THB bar fine, but they would allow only ST tonight - also totally crazy and yet another no-go. Gradually, I begun to understand why there were so many mongers without company yesterday night. Only a few are so crazy to pay the crazy bar fines. This is not customer friendly at all. We are all coming here to have fun with the girls and finally to take one (or more...) out. If this is not reasonably possible - due to exorbitant bar fines, we just will not do it anymore and go to other places. Be it other bars that are more reasonable - or other places at all.
After the bad experiences, I went to Lollipop and found a nice, yet a bit short girl. It turned out that she was still unexperienced and just started her work a few days ago. She had never gone out with a customer so far. Normally, I would decline in such a situation. But given her positive attitude, the willingness for LT, and the (relatively) reasonable bar fine of 1'000 THB, I decided to take her.

So you want mongers to join in your boycott of this club because they wanted you to use their short time room on the premises and you wanted to take the girl off site? These places are all about making money, those on site ST rooms are lot more profitable to the clubs because the girls will return to work much quicker than if they went to their customer’s hotel. I’m sure bar fines will return to normal now that things are winding down.
For some guys it’s a real convenience to use those onsite ST rooms and not take the girls back to their rooms. I have seen other clubs on Walking Street (Naughty Girls/Shark) with on site ST rooms although they may be more flexible with customers. There are more than enough venues in Pattaya for you to get a girl to take back to your room if that is your choice, just move on to the next club. I don’t see a bad attitude from the boss, just a difference in approach between you and him.

Everybody is taking the chance of making more money working on such an evening, working to entertain people.

I am with you on the fact that these prices are ridiculous. But as long as there are enough BSD's out there paying them, you are sitting on the shorter side of the seesaw. The only thing you achieve is freeing a seat for someone who is happy to pay whatever they ask. When too many people pay too high prices that is called inflation. Nothing can you do about it. sit there, sip your beer, watch the show and tell them that it is too expensive. If you can, bring as many friends as possible to do the same.
