Hotels ask for a cell number and sometimes when buying a train ticket. Free internet sites require a cell number to get a code.

No agent involved and the gal had Telegram and a vpn herself, but yeah I don't think that's common. Most WG have still probably never heard of TG or a vpn, so most of the time the contact will be with an agent, but there are some exceptions if you have the time and patience to dig them out.

The gals on there a all a bit past their prime, but still good. Rates are kind of high by local standards, but low by USA standards. I am not a shill for them. You can read the forum for other ideas, but you will soon see that other options are not as simple.

Manhattan also seems possible.
