It was in Feb this year. I walked in and sat down had a beer. There were two gogogirls sitting by the door chatting and giggling with another farang. They invited me somehow and we had a good laugh and everybody seemed to have a good time. Suddenly I saw a girl in a white bikini or some white clothes, from the left comming towards me. She smiled and placed herself right infront of me, took her both hands, boom, on each side of my head and face. Not so hard and afterwards she smiled, but when I said it was not Ok, with a smile, she walked away. I immediately paid my bill and left. The others had seen what happened but no one said anything. Maybe its a good place but I don't go back when they have girls that treat the costumers with no respect at all. My head is very blessed and holy, especially when I am in Thailand. And it don't like to be slapped by a bargirl.

PB[/QUOTE]I see rude behavior toward unknowing farangs by gogo girls all the time. Things we dismiss as playful are often very rude and insulting when taken in the appropriate cultural context. Go to the Thai gogos on Suthisan and you would never see this kind of display. It shows contempt for the foreigner and shows the class the girl comes from as well.

But it can also be that the lady in question was just crazy. Thais will let another Thai person be crazy with a Falang as long as it does not get too violent. Recently I was entertaining a Thai lady in a beer bar when the waitress butted into our conversation and claimed that we were talking about her and saying bad things about her. We never met her before. I am pretty sure the waitress was on something other than a few beers, perhaps yaba which can make them act strangely and paranoid. We left because the waitress was getting crazier and we were getting dirty looks. The rest of the staff looked on and did nothing.

I leave for BKK Sunday and after 28 hours in the air and in airports will be there-but at a cost of only $90 on a FF ticket.
1. Is the CITI ATM near Asoke still free of the Farang surcharge? If so, how do you find this machine; I didn't find the information on CITI's website very helpful.
2. Are the FL in Thermae looking more favorably at Farangs since I expect tourism from Japan is down quite a bit with all the problems that country is dealing with.
