Any Point To Go Elsewhere Besides Sosua?
I was quite satisfied with my combined Blackbeard's / Sosua trip except for the fact that I wish I spent more than just four nights away (that was all my frequent flier points program allowed at this time of year). Wish I had another 3 nights to spread things out.
So I would return to those locations again especially now that I have a good idea how Sosua is run. The question is, would it be any point to go elsewhere in DR such as Boca Chica? What can I get there that I can't really get in Sosua?
Newbies first visit to Sosua. 20-23 November 2012
It doesn't seem like almost two weeks have passed since my trip to Sosua so I thought I the better make some effort and report my observations:

I flew into Santiago de los Caballeros (I live in Colombia) and having done some research into the location of metrobus / caribe tours decided to take a taxi to Sosua which costs around $100. A lot of money but after travelling since the early morning via PC the last thing you want to do when you've been thinking about pussy all week is waste another 3 hours in a bus. I arrived at 3pm and the bus left a5 5. 45pm. Fuck that.

Sosua was different to what I expected, perhaps it takes several trips to get used to and know well. Its easy to get around but I expected Pedro Clisant to be different, much bigger and more lively. In saying that Clasicos was closed and I didn't stay out that late as I had diving trips early morning. Theres plenty of restaurants, hotels, bars and all you need shops, drug stores etc. Jury is out until my next trip.

Was not that impressed, no hot water, water pissed down from ceiling, pool was crap, facilities are crap and on site working girls are skanky. In Sosua they could find any hoe to be on tap, why those? Will try another hotel next time.

When I arrived on Tuesday, I had a look around and wasnt that impressed with the bars. DLAtin was an open type bar and most of the nights I was there it wasnt that busy. Must return to check out the bars later at night perhaps Thursday once Clasicos is open again.
