Maybe the simplest way to ask is "honban daijoubu desu ka?" same as Rick. There are other words you can use but I stick with this because it can't be confused. Some guys prefer to offer a tip number with the question, I suppose everyone approaches it different.

I will be in Tokyo for the first time in August for two nights (8/5-7) and then three nights (8/23-26), book-ending a 2 week visit to Bangkok. Since you are also going to Bangkok, it's important to balance your budget. Things are more expensive in Japan, but there are unique experiences. For that reason you may strategically avoid things that Japan does well but which Thailand also does well and cheaper. Various massage options being an example. Even the local tour guide thing is more common and cheaper in Thailand, where if you meet a bar girl you like you can just pay the bar fine and rent her out day by day until you decide you don't want her. Some guys do it for a week or two if they genuinely like the girl.
Even though it's not what you suggested, since you haven't had much experience with Asian women I would actually recommend Shibuya Galaxy strip club. The main issue with DH is that while it's reliable to get a girl, it can be hit and miss whether you like her. Let's say you like 2/3 of girls they could send you. Yes, the PS seems to be for privacy. I actually liked some girls just as well as their profile photos. I think most of us are sensitive to cost vs. value lol. I don't want to overemphasize the budget constraint. I'm just comparing Y55 K at Casanova, which would be expensive but certainly not unprecedented for me in the US, to pricing at TAE, which is much lower than anything comparable in the US. I will go through the list you provided, but I would welcome any other specific recommendations. Yokohama is a bit far for me on the outbound trip, but not out of the question as a day trip on the way back.

Yes I probably should clarify on streetwalkers. Many of the Japanese ones are rip-off artists, it is basically a tourist trap lately. Some people reported success with non-Japanese streetwalkers (there are not that many). But the recent reviews on picking up Japanese streetwalkers have been GPS. You get them to a room and whatever you negotiated goes out the window. They want you to pay again just for anything good. Apparently they share stories with each other how easy we are. You pay more for less.
A tourist trap is something visible to tourists, easy to access for tourists, but a waste of money preying on tourists. Thailand has them too, but it's a different thing in every country.
Within Shinjuku RLD specifically, do not stop for the black touts - they are all Nigerian scammers. Just ignore them completely and you are fine. You'll notice little toddlers walk around Kabukicho perfectly safe, because the danger preys on drunk people and people who follow touts. Toddlers have no money, so they can't get scammed and have nothing to worry about. Kabukicho is full of normal stuff like movie theaters, events, restaurants, and such. If you want to go oppai pubs or hostess clubs, go to any Manzoku station or other 24-hour free information booth. Used them over 20 years without a single problem, they rely on repeat business and send you to legit shops. However, they are mainly for locals and if you don't speak Japanese they will probably send you to Luxe which is English friendly.
Luxe is not bad, not great. I looked around and a few guys were very happy. One girl with braided twintails was tickling this guy with them. He was the happiest man I saw all trip, because he had found his girl. She was only B-Tier, but the vibe was real. Apa hotels are good for solo traveling, they are very reasonably priced for each location. I don't want to explain it all since the truth is most hotels in Japan are solid, but not all are ideal for solo travelers. Apa hotels require your room key to operate the elevator, so you would have to meet the girl outside your hotel on the street (was always easy for me), then bring them in. There is often a "back entrance" that is very private, but not guaranteed.
Shibuya had like a hundred hotels to choose from. All of them are good in some way, but you have to consider your goals. You will notice right away that you have to walk a lot in Japan to get to train stations, but that is normal. People just do it and their muscles get used to it. You can also wave down a taxi as long as it is a safe enough part of the street for them to pull over and they are not already taken (ex. on call or already have a passenger).
The closer I got to Shibuya station, the more restaurant options they were. Every one I tried was good. If you ever see people lining up for a restaurant, that speaks more than reviews. Try again later when not busy.

It seems like you have to be especially careful with room size and bed size in Tokyo. A lot of rooms had one twin bed, which you would rarely see in the US. I saw a couple of "cubicle hotels" that reminded me of something in a William Gibson novel, and a few hostel-style with shared bathrooms. I ended up at JR East Mets, which is apparently very close to the train station.
