Best part, I took 2 guests back and unlike in Medellin, there was zero guest charge. Just turn the ID over, the front desk person makes a note in a notebook and files the ID in an folder organizer, and off you go to the room. When you return, they ask the girl what her name is, check the notebook, retrieve it from the folder and off she goes.

For me in Medellin, most hotels wanted $100 k per guest, so between $20 and $25 USD at current exchange rates.

Given that the girls in Cartagena at least TRY to charge more, if you factor out the added guest charge that you'd pay in Medellin, the 2 become more comparable. Although Hotel Nutibara in Medellin centro did not charge me any guest fees either.

Bottom line, Soy Local Centro Historico was a decent enough place, with an ideal location near to all the action that if you wanted to bring multiple girls back over multiple days, the savings in terms of not paying guest fees could be pretty substantial.

NOTE: be aware that they use some sort of powerfully scented cleaning solution when mopping the floors throughout the building. If you're sensitive to strong smells, this might not be the place for you. Think Fabuloso type strong smell. If you like that, or are used to it because your family uses it, then you'll be fine. For me it hit me hard when I first was in the lobby checking in, but got used to it over the next 2 days. Just an FYI.

Hello guys, first time south America but have Mongered around in europe, Asia, America and Canada. I know south America is diffrent and I have read a lot around here but still have a few questions. I'll be in cartagana middle of March with a few guy friends all looking for girls. We have an airbnb with security. My first question is everyone says get hotels instead of bring them back but my friends don't feel safe being left alone in hotels and going there with girls so they prefer yo get girls to the airbnb. We're not bringing any belongings and 1 person will not drink or do anything to try to keep everyone safe with the security.

Is it better to pick up girls and walk back with them to the airbnb or get the WhatsApp and call them later.

2nd would it be better if I tell my other friends to just pick a girl they really like and just pay her for the whole night / call her even night we are there and just don't deal with their scared news?

Also they don't speak Spanish but are bringing translating headphones and have esimcards. I speak Spanish but obv I want to have fun myself.

- Chicas are knocked out sleeping because they were in the clubs on Saturday all night.

- Chicas are on their way home because they were with a gringo the night before.

- Chicas are locked in an went with a gringo to an island for the day or a boat.

- You cannot take the girl back to your place, so you have to find a short time hotel.

With the above in mind, I would suggest scheduling something form a website where you go to where the girl is, most likely it will be in Bario Torices, it would be better is the are in Bocagrande.

Don't get caught, it would be so dumb to get caught but if you do, I would love to be the person sitting next to you two on the plane. Best flight ever jajaja.

I've had friends join me and they used that method of getting numbers at night and calling the girl during the day and most of the time the results were a mixture of:

1. The chica is not responding because she's currently with another gringo.

2. They completely forgot what the chica looked like and they cannot see the chica profile picture because of her whatsapp settings and the chica never added him to her contacts.

3. Before the night ends they saw the girl leave the club with another gringo who looks sloppy AF and they decided if she's letting that sloppy dude smash then they don't want to be going after him.

You will see lots of people using google translate, but if I were your friends I would jump on Babel, Drops, or Duo Lingo and start learning some basic things to communicate. They should at least learn how to say things that pertain to their best interest and well-being. The back story to this comment is I previously travelled with a friend who has high blood pressure and diabetes. Before he left I told his dumb ass to learn how to say no salt and no sugar in Spanish so that when he orders food he won't have a problem. He said " ima tell no salt and no sugar and that's it". Long story short his ass never learned how to say "sin sal" or "sin azucar" and he had an episode. He didn't tell me anything and I had no idea until the next day when I went to the spot to get breakfast, and the waiter asked me if my friend was ok and told me what happened.
