Tijuana is a weird hybrid. In virtually every country in the world, your DL is of no value. You must have a passport. However, in Mexican border towns your DL has been good for ID for decades. These days, however, you can't get into Mexico, ON FOOT, BY PLANE, or BY CRUISE SHIP, without a passport. But, if you drive in, there is no practical way for them to check every car to ensure that all passengers have a passport and fill out the FMM paperwork.

So, if you drive in, it's best to have a passport AND a DL. If you're walking around and are jacked up, you're passport's your best bet because it's one less reason for the monkeys to jerk you around, although your DL would probably work. If you're pulled over in your car, you will be asked for your DL & registration, and not your passport.

There are weird exceptions, as SMD illustrated. You can sneak in as a passenger and have only a DL, or no ID at all if that's the way you roll. Getting back to the States is your responsibility.

A shout out goes to Zoey near the hotel Enva, she gave a great BJ but I couldn't finish with the cover. She's a mulatta that works out of the hotel across the street from Enva. A complete dumphole of a hotel with no bathroom in the room!

I ended up getting a massage at Spa Kalinca on Av. Constitution. The price was 450 pesos for an hour and I tipped 100 pesos for the massage. It was not quite CMT quality but it was still good. My masseuse was a younger woman who only spoke Spanish. I was undraped during the massage but she didn't offer any extra services and I didn't ask, so nothing happened. I have a feeling you could get a hand job here but why bother when you're in the Zona?

Hong Kong club was rocking as usual, although it seemed like the quality was down from the last time I was there. I ordered a red bull from the bar and it cost almost 100 pesos for the little can! Groped and fingered some dancers and then I hit the streets again. For some reason I was patted down more thorough than usual at the entrance and the doorman asked if I had any weapons on me, not sure what that was all about.

I carried my passport with me at all times. It seemed like there was a greater police presence than usual. It MAY cause a little inconvience like a trip to secondary but you will be allowed entry. I once took a trip with an amigo who after crossing he realized he forgot his ID and the only thing he had was his Ralphs card and he got sent right through with no delays. I guess as far as how easy re entry will be depends on the officer you have to deal with.

Now as far as entering Mexico without a passport or passport card. They can certainly deny you entry. Last I heard was you just plead ignorance of there requirement and they will fingerprint and photograph you and let you in with the warning next time you will not be allowed entry without the proper documents.

But keep in mind we are talking about entering mexico by foot. When driving in they do not ask for a passport.

After all my years of experiencing everything there is to experience in Tijuana. I was present for my first Tijuana Bar raid.

So Sunday night after a few hours of hanging out in HK my amiga wants to go to a bar we could dance in. So we ended up at Valentina bar around 12 a. M. The place was pretty empty 10 customers at the most. Shortly after PD Suave joined us we were drinking our beers when they played (Thinking out loud) a great song to slow dance to. We were the only ones dancing and all of a sudden the music stops and the lights come on and we are surronded by masked swat and miltary guys. Not sure what you are supposed to do but we just sat down and waited to see what's up. While some guys went to the bar they were carrying big binders not sure if that was some records they were taking from the bar or something they brought in.

The police started questioning a couple guys sitting at the bar and 3 local guys sitting close to us are asked for ID's. But they never said a word to us or the girls that were working there were never questioned either.

And then after about 20 minutes they head out, lights fade to dim and a favorite song starts right up (Sweet child 0 mine) The whole thing was surreal. I guess even the local dudes are relievd and ready to party they follow our lead and start playing there air guitars.

Yes, that was a classic way to end our weekend before heading back to Ticuan. Awesome time for sure. La Linea could have gone a little quicker on Monday, but time went fast listening to the sexual escapades of our newest amigo (Sendition? In line with us! Jajaja.

Was thinking about staying at Aqua Rio Hotel on Avenida Constitucion in January. Does anyone know anything about this place? I heard it was girl friendly.

If you are looking for an enexpensive room outside of the zona for sleeping and bringing a girl probably your best bet. But you do get what you pay for. If you are looking for a nice place and don't want to be to far from zona norte try Pueblo Amigo or Ticuan.

If you are planning on spending a lot of time in the zona and are just worried about having a hotel you can bring an escort tol. I would probably stay at Cascadas in the heart of the zona. And when its time for the escort make plans to use a love motel outside of the zona such as La Mansion. There you will find a very nice room for 4 hours at about $27 .

A group with a similar name we used to call the "Street Girls Union" when we would see a group of SGs gathered around a speaker on the corner as they were advised of various dangers or for a family searching for a missing daughter. But this is a group out of Bakersfield CA it appears, not related. Nice to know there are churches that are actually helping the outcasts of society (mass culture). Nice to see something positive for Mexico as it and Mexicans have been under fire at every opportunity under this "administration".

This Christmas season, Magdalene Hope, a local non-profit that reaches out to women who are being trafficked through sex trade, has decided to bring the holiday cheer to the impoverished children of Tijuana, Mexico.

For the first time, the organization is holding a toy drive called Toys for Tijuana, and is asking the community to help make Christmas a little more joyful for the kids living in the slums of northern Baja.

Pastor Doug Bennett, founder of Magdalene Hope Ministry, who is leading the drive, has proven his dedication to the cause.

Bennett plans to dress up as Santa Claus for the kids and will be accompanied by Mrs. Claus, another Magdalene Hope volunteer who will be acting as his translator.

Not only is he putting on the outfit, but he has been growing out his beard, for the first time in his life, since August, and has bleached it just for the event.

"I'm going (to bleach) it again next week, and it's going to be white like snow, like Santa," Bennett told The Californian.

He said he prefers this method because he won't have to deal with a fake beard, which can be "hot, sweaty and itchy. ".

Bennett said he wanted to help the children in Tijuana because he has seen first hand how impoverished the kids are.

"We have a presence there. I'm compelled and pulled to that city," Bennett said. "It's a very poor country, and any time we can bless them, we do. I have strong desire to help them. ".

Magdalene Hope has partnered with five churches in Tijuana, and those churches will help distribute the toys to the children.

Bennett is hoping to hand out 1,000 toys to the children in Tijuana and so far the goal looks promising. Bennett said one of his vans is full of toys right now, and the organization has rented out a storage unit in San Diego to store the toys before transporting them to Mexico.

The deadline to donate a toy is Dec. 13. Bennett and his team will head to Tijuana Dec. 15. You can drop off a toy at a number of locations: Rusty's Pizza Parlor, located at 1410 Wible Road, 3800 Auburn St. Or 1751 White Lane; Luigi's, 725 E 19th St. ; Imbibe Wine and Spirits Merchant, 4140 Truxtun Ave. ; All American Barbershop, 1831 F St. ; Blissful Retreat, 2030 19th St. ; Byrdie's Bake Shop, 9910 Rosedale Hwy. ; Rescue Grounds Coffee Shop inside Memorial Hospital, 420 34th St.

There are always a few SGs who can't be home for Christmas due to recent return from vacation, lack of biz, or planning to go home in January as you know.

I haven't stayed there since it was remodeled but yes I understand it is chica friendly.
