I’m not a big fan of DIA, for any number of reasons. Particularly that the profiles only allow one pic. I want to see a number of pics, and be confident that they are all of the same girl! I have a couple of ex girlfriends in the Philippines that are both recent college grads in Hotel/ Restaurant MGT. One of them took a 6 month internship in Asia for 6 months, but it did not pay very well compared to the US. It was still better than the PI, and she was able to send back about a $100 a month to her family. The employer paid for her housing and for her air fair. Her college career center sends many grad through the program.

However, they also have programs that sends the students to the US or Earope for much better paying internships. The catch is they have to pay upfront for the cost (visa, agency fees ect. ). The cost is around $1500 plus airfare. In return the interns make great money compared to the PI. My friends know other studens in the program, so It sounds legit.

so you see the proplem is the "rich get richer and the poor get poorer" Girls that have access to the upfront fees can get well paying jobs vs the girls who have no money so have to go to the low paying Asia internships.

So, I am looking into comments or suggestions if I should lend the girl the money. she can easily pay me back month instalments from her paycheck, just like any other loan.
I like the idea that she will have a job with in driving distance to me, so that we can visit eachother. Of course my concerns are makeing sure I get my money back and that this is not illegal in anyway. I don't want my name involved with this, in case I do want to get a finacee visa for another girl sometime in the future.
Any comments? You can PM if you like to share your ideas, or to knock some sense into me.

Lets look at the reality of things - this is a lot of money to them and there are lots there that do nothing but spend their hours of the day scamming on the net and personal sites - young military guys that think they love the, old coggers like ourselves, and the unexpecting.

On the other hand if you know this girl and feel for her - then do not lend her the money - just give it to her and do not expect it back.

Agree any money given to a girl should be seen as a gift, and if she pays you back then it is a bonus.

I just wanted to make sure there was nothing illegal about this. I don't think there is, I just wanted to stay under the radar in case I do decide to get a fiancee visa later in life.



I have know both girls for over 2 years and believe they THINK they will pay me back. But I know once there families find out they have an money, they will but a lot of pressure on the girls to send them money. They will easily make enough money to pay me back, because the jobs are for 9 months to a year long. Maybe I can have them sign a promissory note, it will at least make them understand that they need to pay me back the loan.

The idea that I can have a 21 year old Pinay Friend within driving distance sounds to good to be true. And since they don't drive, there will be no drop by's'.

I am sure someone on this board has helped a Pinay out in this way, please share how your experience went.
