The gated part of Gamarra is a sort of feeding frenzy place. The girls are very skanky and most certainly not medically checked! (Come to think of it, that's probably why Artisttyp dines on brown donuts!) Once you get out of the main market building part and penetrate further into the labyrinth, this is where the Peruvians come to buy the cheap clothes and all the required bits for making pirate clothing e.g. levis, D&G etc. (you can actually buy fake zippers with companies logos on them!) There is nothing to do with clothing, curtains, fashion etc that you cannot get here. Except the real thing. Quite an amazing sight. You and I would stick out like sore thumbs - Artisttyp and DownUnder, less so!

I was around 28 de julio and bauzante y meza yesterday. I didn't see anything around. It was around 2pm.

What I did notice is a mercado called "la rica miel". Alot of guys on peru tops mention someplace in la victoria called hotel la rica miel but I couldnt find it.

Maybe that is what down under found.

I must say though from my experiences on the streets here I have not had good times. I have once or twice but IMHO the street system is set up as a hustle. I would relate the SW scene in lima as dangerous as quito ecuador.

I will post last night's experience in a future post...but trust me the intention is to set you up.

I heard in the new this morning the major of Lima announcing a crack down on street prostitution. He said offenders will be prosecuted including customers. Just a word of advice,

There are several street walkers in pizza alley, but they appear very late. I was there last saturday around 3:00 am and there were several girls openly asking for as low as 100 S/. probably for short time but i was way too drunk so just hired a taxi and left.

I've been a long time lurker but have opted to post a quick note regarding my weekend in Lima. I read the forum but as I was going to be in Lima just for a weekend thought I would focus on actually eating seafood.

I checked out a few of the high end clubs (Emanuelle and Club 69) and have nothing to add to previous posts.

I sent a PM to David 33 at the eleventh hour and he was most accommodating. He arranged for two girls to come to see me. The first one was fairly inexperienced and somewhat thicker than I usually like but still performed reasonably well once relaxed.

I found r&v to be my favorite spot in Lima, but if you read the reviews, as I know you do, it is not for everyone. I thought that the treatment you recieve there is superior to any "massage" place I've been to. And that is many. It is total gfe. Trip report.

First visited Relax and Vida, next to Interbank, it was all it was supposed to be. The girls were all great and beautiful. But as a previous poster noted, this was not a place for hot sex. Just great GFE. It was S/90.

Next visited Cucurdas. I speak no Spanish and I went with a local. It was a you shaped hallway with the girls all in front of their rooms. My opinion of Peru compared to other places in the world; It is much better than the US (of course). I like Nuevo Laredo, Mexico better. I liked Medellin, Colombia better. I like PI and Thailand much much better. I do not plan on coming back to Peru. Maybe I would have a different opinion if I had managed to hook up with David_33. Apparently he had a credibility issue with me. I regret that I was unable to convince him otherwise.
