I wonder why someone cannot simply call the cops if the Soho club scammers try to extort money from you.....??

Calling the cops will bring pressure on the place and this scrutiny will behoove the dirty coppers to do their job in a justified manner. The cops may help out in most instances to resolve things quietly without loss of face and they don't want to endanger their source of dirty payoff money.

Upper police mgt looks at numbers and stats, not people and behaviors. So the more calls one makes on a place, the more the upper guvs are looking at what is going on there. They also don't like formal complaints at the local police station that a bobby did not protect a citizen from these nasty goons.

Shit rolls uphill here.

I remember seeing a programme on tv regarding these clubs and from memory I do not think they are doing anything illegal charging the rediculous prices they do as long as they have a pricelist on display in that bar area. Usually it will be a tiny thing where you are unlikely to look.

I think this is the reason why these scumbags get away with what they do, I agree the upper cops will cause grief over a clubs licence if there is a lot of complaints but I don't think they can prosecute over the prices.

I am sure if I am wrong soemone will correct me, but I don't think it is illegal if they do advertise the price somewhere. Certainly immoral and they do all need a good kicking!!!!

I would think most ISG members could find enough advice and guidance on here to steer away from these clubs.

Saying London police are taking bribes from "clip joints" is quite a serious accusation.

Do you have any evidence to support your assertion?

I believe the legal position is, as John Costa posted, that these clubs are not acting illegally as long as they have a price list on display. Just like any business.

If "victims" call the police, I am sure that the police would take action if the law has been broken. However, many victims don't call the police for reasons such as embarrassment, fear of revenge from the clip joint and so on ....

It's amazing how many people continue to fall victim to these establishments despite numerous warnings in the media, on boards like this and so on.

I'm sure that any ISG member will have more than enough knowledge and common sense to avoid these places.

About ten years ago I fell victim to a Soho clip joint scam. I had to pay about 80 quid to get out of the place (that's all I had on me) and sign a paper promising to pay the balance. The next day, feeling a bit embarrassed, I went to a police station in Tottenham Court road (as an American, I was wondering just what the law was, and whether I had any legal recourse). The police officer told me that, based on my description, no laws were broken by them or by me, but that I shouldn't bother to pay the balance, as they'd be very unlikely to ever find me.

In my case, lesson learned. I've never ventured into one since and never will.

From my recent experience at Lady Marmalades party, the optimum time was about half an hour after the start. This was probably down to the initial influx of punters having had their first climax and were having a short break - leaving me with 4 ladies to myself. Every party will be different so I can't say whether this will always be the case.

Even at its busiest, at Lady M's the ratio was fairly low and no one was out of the action for too long. Stand in close proximity to a lady and even if she's busy with someone else she'll find way of making contact with your erogenous bits.

If you want a good selection, keep your eyes open for their Saturday parties which have 6 ladies working - there're fewer mid-week. I understand that ratios are about the same though.

I've in recent months had overnights offers (yes overnight) of £400 on average with a few coming in at £300 and one even at £250 !! (The £250 is an Indian student - a rarity in iteself). I insist on 6.00pm to 11.00am so more than 12 hours. These are mostly 20 - 25 year olds, not long in the business and up for negoitation ! I use the classified ads section of message boards - casual relationships sections. I've been successful both advertising and responding to ads. i've met up and with several now and have had a good night on either first or second meeting (and I'm mid 40's and married - which I always tell them).
