I just got back and the amount of people I see in Centro and Getsemani who are not usually there is insane. I was going to post one big post of events that took place but how many times can people keep reading the same shit over and over. So once I go through my conversations with the chicas I will post up a few things.

I remember walking by Casa Pelenque and this girl came up to me talking English talking about they are having an event with ballons. I think it was Red if you're taken, Yellow if your open, and green if you're available and down for anything. Went in saw allot of wide backs and left. I think I saw these chicks in there too.

I'm just trying to figure out how the hell there were 3 girls all with phones so preoccupied on social media and none of them started recording anything when this shit went down or even get a picture of the taxi plate that big as fuck on the side of the door. Almost like they clout chasing.

A while back he almost got me with some fake money. I was about to change out some money and this guy told me he can give me 4200 when everywhere else was 3900. He started counting out the money but it looked funny, so I told him nah and walked off. 2 seconds later the cops rolled up, stopped him, and frisked him. I went to the exchange place and asked how come the guy on the street giving a better rate and she asked if it was "a black guy with a bookbag by Exito" and I said "yea". They said he gives fake money.

So I finally managed to get a picture of him while on this trip so those who leave their common sense in customs can know what to avoid.

The guy is basically Thug Maxing to attract a specific type of gringo.

I am in Cartagena, have read a lot about the present situation. I have one question: in clubs like Tentaciones, Chicas Lindas, Travesuras, Paraiso del Marino, etc. , can you use credit cards for all costs to the club? Of course not what you pay the girls. Or do the club skim the card?

I only use card in restaurants when the bill was more than $20. It is safe for the most part. Make sure you don't leave your card or open a tab, just pay and use tap to pay or use apple pay or google pay.

Getting your card information stolen is a chance you take by using your physical card when you venture out to those areas. I recently had a similar discussion with my friend who popped in for a quick visit and was walking around with a wallet about 3" thick filled with cards.

I would suggest to load all your cards digitally into your smart phone such as Apple Pay or Google wallet as just about every location I went to accepted tap to pay except the beach. Use tap to pay as your main method and if it doesn't work then use the physical card.

Just remember if they steal or skim your card, that card is done until it's physically replaced. If they steal your phone you can immediately get a new digital card.

If you allow one person to use your credit card, the waitress will charge other people's tabs to your card or your "friend" will add the bills for her friends and family while you are gone or not looking.

If you dispute the charge, your bank will cancel your card because you do not keep good control over your cards and they don't want the problems and hassle you create.

What are the clock tower prices like now in Cartagena nighttime? Haven't been for 3 years and have got 2 nights there before I head to Bogota for a work trip, thanks.

I haven't see any recent updates to CTG so I'll add my two cents. Despite lots of negative attention, there is still fun to be had here. I still take Cartagena over Medellin and Bogota because of the sunshine and beaches. I can't / don't want to monger all day every day, so it's cool to have the beach vacation dynamic here plus the walled city and the history to enjoy while recharging.

I'm here right now. I have gone hunting in the walled city the last couple nights and been successful in getting numbers from the talent, but the police have made it harder than it used to be before the new mayor. There are groups of police stationed at all the streetcorners in the 3 block loop around where Dolce Vita and Delirium used to be. If too many WGs congregate anywhere at once the police blow their annoyingly loud whistles until everyone disperses. From what I can see, as long as everyone keeps moving the cops don't seem to care. It's obvious it's still happening, just more difficult. You have to get the number and move on, no loitering. Frankly I don't understand, because closing Dolce Vita and the others just forces what used to happen inside and out of sight onto the streets. So now you have a mix of WGs, mongers, and tourists all co-existing until around 11/12. There is a new club called Santa Cattaleya that is trying to be the new Dolce Vita but it's a few blocks away from that main loop so people might not know about it yet.

There are many guest-friendly AirBNBs available in CTG. I have always stayed there. They are nice and have very cooperative doormen who don't care about bringing in chicas, but who also look out for your security. There are also hotels who let in chicas free of charge (Oz hotels for example), but I hate going down to the reception to sign in the girls while families with kids watch it all go down. Obviously not an issue for late night fun but I like to have daytime action too.

Chica prices seem to be anywhere from 300 M-600 M COP per HR at night. Same prices for longer afternoon dates, around 4 hours of sex, drinking, and maybe going to the beach. (I mean 300-600 for the entire 4 hours).

I'm staying at the Oz Hotel myself with a friend. It's good to know the prices are between 300-600 k range, even though anything 500-600 k is too Gringo priced for my blood. I'm a stubborn monger so keeping the girls cheap is a priority -- baddie or no baddie. It's Colombia, not Vegas.

Anyway, I agree with not mongering every day all day. That's why I chose a hotel by the beach, enjoying the weather and relaxation after a wild night. Some days you just need to let the boys rest and recharge. I'll definitely have to check out the club you mentioned. If anyone is going to be down there 1st of May and wants to link up for drinks, strip club hopping, other bullshit, let me know. Going to be staying 9 nights.

I recall what fun we had 10 years ago but things changed during the Covid then post covid the crackdowns in the walled city just have taken the fun factor away, so for the past 3 or 4 years I don't P4P in Cartagena rather save it for other places.

BTW I live in Medellin 10 years but visit Cartagena a few times each year, have already been 3 times to Cartagena this year (last visit 2 weeks ago) but not to play rather sail and explore and enjoy the cafes and food and great street vibe / energy but not the clubs or tower chicas anymore, just too much of a hassle.
