One of the issues I found was that the two main FL mongering areas Changkat and BC are split by about 5 km. Now if you are willing to use the inflated taxi prices at night not a problem but I like just walking from my hotel to either area.
I have stayed in Fraser Place in Jalan Perak very close to BC. Well if you go out the back entrance (LOL) it takes 3 minutes to walk there. Fraser was my go to hotel 4 stars and couldn't fault it except for minor stuff.
Changkat area (20 minutes walk from BC) I stayed at RH Suites near Changkat 3 min walk.
Now you could stay half way between the two area, which would mean basically in the middle of KL near Pavillion or not be cheap charlie and pay the taxi fare (I don't because They are such a rip off) or choose.
BC for me is quick look choose and then depart, Changkat is more longer session party place, more choice of restaurants there too. At least at BC its dam obvious what that place is all about.
Virtually all hotels are GF. I suppose depends on what sort of night you are after.
You won't find anything like Geylang in KL. Girls are in spa's, online or in clubs.
