Weekends are the busiest. Great jukebox, cheap beer, and somebody will have a joint, or sometimes something much stronger. You'll see lots of locals, fewer gringos. Mostly younger college age. You can cut the mota haze with a knife later in the evenings.

The alley guy had nothing to do with the bar. Do not buy in to some of the ridiculous paranoia you read on this board.

The red BMW did not cross over the bumps into US soil yet. It was still in Mexico's territory.

CBP has no jurisdiction to arrest anyone in Mexico soil. Legally they would have to call in Mexico's cops to arrest and prosecute the perps in Mexico's court. I don't know why CBP agents drew their guns and swarmed that car. The first CBP agent already drew his gun, pointing at the red BMW before calling other guys on his radio. The 2 BMW guys would have to shoot their ways out of that arrest. I was a sitting duck, scared shitless in the car, expecting a gun fight.

Quite a few CBP guys are assholes. Write down their names and be careful when dealing with them.

The dog sitting quietly is the sign he smells drugs, the agents swam to prevent the occupants from trying to escape or throw the drugs out. I have seen this a few times on the bridge where I cross.

Can someone clear something up for me regarding La Mansion. I'm in Tijuana and a escort told me it's 400 pesos a night on the weekdays but that's for a regular all night stay 12:00 check out. She said they only charge short term on weekends. Is this true. I saw the pictures of the room. They look real nice for only 400 pesos. Is this true.

Coming from the east coast here, it's been 2 yrs since I went to Tijuana and didn't realize the border crossing has changed. Curious if anyone know where you can check Trump's border wall prototypes?

I have walked by this place 100 times, I would be careful. H. K. Takes care of the police, so if you are not causing any problems they will leave alone, but the best policy is to avoid all drugs in a foreign county. Good Luck.

First was New Body bar & massage, at Calle 8 (Miguel Hidalgo) & Ave Martinez. The place was clean, new, and shiny. Ironically, at the bar, they refused to take pesos, and the ATM dispensed only US dollars. But prices at the bar were lower than in the Zona.

The signs were all in Spanish, which may explain why I didn't even see where the massage was. (I wasn't ready to do that, anyway, so I didn't ask.) There were five people in the bar: a bartender, two guys who looked like they worked there, and two women who didn't look like they worked there. One of the guys kept wandering out of the bar to some unseen karaoke stage, and singing off-key Latin music.

Nobody approached me, and I returned the favor. I suspect I'll go back someday, in the evening, for a better look.

Got into town around 4:00 PM last Friday and decided to look in on a couple of places a bit south of the Zona Norte, just for a look around.

The second place I looked into was the Maria Bonita bar and massage, on the south side of Calle 8 (Miguel Hidalgo) just west of Revolucion. This place presents two doors, one for the bar, and one for the massage.

I first went into the massage, looking for the bar, and several not-ugly massage artists looked up as I entered, as delighted to see me as if I was their first customer in several days. When I asked for the bar, they directed me next door.

The bar was deserted except for the kid behind the bar. The place has an "under construction" motif, with bare OSB (plywood, only rougher) paneling. The sink in the men's room was covered with a plastic trash bag, which I took to mean "out of order".

I suspect I won't be back.

I don't know the exact location but my understanding is that it's closer to the Otay Mesa border crossing than to the San Ysidro one.

They are for four hour increments on weekends. During the week, some have four hour discount rates.

As far as La Mansion I believe you have to enter after 8 pm To get the all night deal instead of the 4 hours. Best to ask to be sure.

Okay, bottom line can you check in la mansion at 2 pm and check out at 12 pm the next day. That's what I want to know. Not really getting a concrete answer.

I have been there in the afternoon and its 4 hours. I have also showed up after 8 p. M. And they will let you stay until noon the next day and you only have to pay the 4 HR. Rate. Keep in mind we are taking weekdays weekends its 4 HR. Period.

The third reviewer on Yelp said that checkout was at 2 PM, but his review is around 2 1/2 years ago:
