Why can't the "going rate" or "market rate" be considered what people who pay less than you are paying or what the people who pay more than you are paying?

On prices: you pay what you want. If they start quoting in dollars just leave it. Anytime you get a domicilio it's always going to be more than going to a casa or their private apt. I've had girls on Tinder come over for as little as 160 mil as recently as November in Cartagena. Inspired by influencers girls want to travel and see the world but they have no means to do that, so they start whoring themselves until they find the way to leave the country. I talk to other guys and compare notes. Or contact a sufficient number of girls, see what number we can agree on and get an average going rate. I have friends that give the same chicks 2 and 3 times as much as I do. So is it me that is paying a going rate and them paying too much? Or is it them paying a going rate and me getting a discount?

In the border town of Reynosa Mexico, as late as 2019, you could get a La Isla quality girl in the club Lipstick's for $125 and Santa Fe types for $20. That is gone now too.

If they are weekend warriors and have no clue what they are doing, they might be overpaying. At the same time, they could be paying market rate if they met these chicks, let's say, at Gustos and if whatever rate they agreed on is indeed a going rate at the venue. The rate you are paying is lower not necessarily because you have better negotiating skills, but because you either met them at a different place where rates are cheaper (street, casa, etc), or your rate is grandfathered in.

If you buy a bottle of water for $1 at a grocery store, and I buy the same exact bottle of water for $4 at the airport, neither of us overpay or underpay. If I get to the store, I will get the same price of $1. If you get to the airport, you will have to shell out 4 bucks.

I met her last in Dec 2022 when she was charging 280 k an hour.

Now, she wants 600 k an hour plus extras.

But this doubling of rates is too much. Add to that the weak dollar in Colombia. I'm getting 3. 7 k for a dollar.

I'll be here a month more but I think this is my last trip for a while.

Again, I think you are frustrated with the price and do not get a bargain you are getting. Go the website geisha academy and look at the prices all over the world. Colombia is the cheapest and it is a short flight away from the USA, and lodging is relatively cheap. Prices are up everywhere and will be until there is a recession.
