Unfortunately what she doesnt always realise is that the use of term has connotations of mental inadequacy. The word was often associated with those who had to go to special schools back in my youth.

I've tried explaining this a few time to a few ladies and several "get it".. they now say they are humble. But I still have to laugh, as so many of these aspire to being " simple"

I think they use the word simple to indicate that they are from a modest background. One Otis wrote me today on date in Asia that she wants to find a guy who will accept her for who she is. I asked her what she meant by that and she said that she has no father and is from a poor family. I think that many of them feel that they are not worthy because they are not sophisticated.

And if you look at matchmaking sites from ex-British colonies, esp. India, you'll always find girls described as "homely". Now why in hell would they do that, I wondered, and then learned that it means that they like to stay around the house, take care of their man, cook, clean, etc.

Danamae here, anyway think positive. Maybe there's a reason why she blocked you. Think of any way to communicate with her again if you really wanted her.

If you think that she's the right person then continue anyway she's worth it all along, rather than regreting in the future.

I'm a long time lurker who was last in The Phills 2001. Almost got stuck there! Going again Mid March to Manila stopover and Cebu. Not into the usual tourista spots unless it is for a quickie. Already have gfe and a previous gf lined up.

Anyway, some questions if you can assist me:

What is the best airline to travel Manila to Mactac (Cebu)? Can you walk up in NIAA and likely get a flight? I want to be flexible outside Manila.

Best way to carry money? Credit Cards or USA Or Pesos or Traveller's Cheques? Draw from CC daily at a Hotel for cash? Which cards work. Or don't?

Anyone know a good value 4/5 Star near NIAA?

Communications. Have my BB with me for contact back home daily to 'check on things'. Can one get a short term rental CP at NIAA or MOA? Or do we need to purchase. Want to have a Phils based CP too.

Are small towns dangerous if you are with a local gal? I worry some about that. I'm early 50's, she is late 20's. (Last time at Shang in Edsa didn't seem to matter! )

It's quite an OK to get contacts in the Phils. You use the "meetme" function and just OK the girls you are interested in. If she also clicks OK you can view the pics add her as a friend etc. A bit more convoluted than DIA but some pretty girls there.

I was thinking of ways to protect my cash, like paying the agency directly and having her pay me back each pay check. But I have learned overtime if there is cash in a Pinay's hand, her family will be all over and I will be the last person to get paid.

I've been deleting mail from Tagged as I thought it was one of those bot sites that encourages you to sign up, import your mail lists, and then spams.

I've never warmed up to the social network sites, but I may have to give it another go.
