Later that week I was invited to their house for my birthday dinner, where she bought me a handmade bracelet as a present. That trip cost me some lingerie, a winnie the pooh decorative plate (approximately $75 dollars of gifts).

I returned on the week of Valentines day where we went to a resort in Juan Dolio. She wanted to go to a clinic early in the week for a health check for the both of us. (she wanted to have sex au natural) We both came back clean. She had started to take birth control "just for me" needless to say it was a fantastic week. I bought some jewelry for her and a digital camera (approximately $350 with the doctor visits and test)

During this visit, 2 things happened in her family that really upset her and she told me I should get another girl because she is having too many problems and she doesn't want to ruin my vacation. I did not bail and things only got better.

March comes and I am in DR again for her. No problems with her family this time, every time I visited I was introduced to more and more family members. I was invited to stay at her house, everyday she cooked me breakfast and nights we stayed home she made me dinner (fantastic cook). Her sister started to refer to me as her brother in law, and being introduced as her casi-marido (almost husband). Her daughter started getting attached to me, her niece etc. That's were I started to back away just a little. The cost outside air and car rental. Food for the house, small gift for her maybe $200 for the total week.

April came by, more attachment. Stayed at her house again, bought food for the house, flowers for her (I got caught talking to another girl) Very little money spent.

Early May was her birthday, the whole family was at her house for the actual day. Before her birthday, I stayed at her house. On her birthday I took the family out for dinner Adrian Tropical (about $200), bought her some gifts $100, bought her niece a $30 cell phone (also her Bday) met the dad, cousins, aunts, grandmother. Was continually asked when we are getting engaged (yikes). Since she is in college I said we should wait until she is finished in 2 years. (buy me some time)

Late May, I'm back again start feeling and very guilty about stringing her along. I make some comments about the possibility of not getting married that don't go over well.

Early June the first night together she feels that I'm using her, second night no sex, third night sex with condoms, last night with her we have sex and the next day she decides I'm using her and she doesn't want to be my girlfriend anymore. I felt relieved at this and disappointed at the same time.

I still keep in touch with her neice and her sister, but my playing around with a normal girl hurt her, me, her family etc.

Damn I miss the sex.

Like I said, I bought food for the house when I was there but she was making most of my meals for me so that's the least I could do. Every time she had a family crisis (which seemed like alot) she could have hit me up for some cash. She never did, the whole time I was trying to figure out her angle, when I finally realized she didn't have one.

Anyway, I have a question for you New Yorkers or others familiar with the JFK airport. I am looking at pricing on flights, and leaving out of JFK to STI looks like a pretty good deal right now. I have the ability to drive to the NY area on business, park my car for transfer to JFK and retrieve it when I return.

My question is two fold.

First, is there a reasonably priced "park and fly" location near JFK?

Second, is there a nearby hotel that provides a shuttle to JFK and has free extended parking if you stay there on at least one leg of the trip?

There may be other options and I am more than open to them. I looked at flying to JFK and that remains an option, but in my case driving and working business in with my pleasure would be something very do-able.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations. By the way I have time, my next trip is anywhere from Oct to early Dec. timeframe. Like I said, I start planning my next trip almost immediately after my last.

There is no such thing as FREE parking in NYC, discounted for the nights you stay, maybe.

You can find "reasonable" parking in Howard Beach with a FREE bus shuttle to JFK, or take the Airtrain ($5).

I stayed at the Ramada several years back and it was pretty much a dump. Apparently it has been renovated so I don't know what it is like now. I use Avistar for offsite parking ([url]http://www.avistarparking.com/fasttrack[/url]). Cost w/taxes about $19 a day. Their lot is actually closer then JFK's long term lot.
