Hi there. Let me share with you some experiences, as I was very much helped on this forum by other reports. I am not particularly greedy but I do not see any reason to pay more than 50 Euros for a f. Ck session, as it is usally the price taken in France by streetwalkers. I read a report of a guy who picked up a scammer who took his money and refused afterwards to perform the job and mae a scandal. You can bring the gorl to your hotel too, which would be more secure, but then watch out that nothing get stolen by her. I did both, in the cabin and in my hotel. You have to pick up a girl who is not dressed as a working girl and you have to be in a girl friendly hotel. I was in the Ibis hotel on Calvin another site, no problem to bring the girl in the room. I ask as I have been to the city a few times on 24 hour business trips and from the little I've seen it has a lot going for it, the Danube, Andrassy Boulevard, the food etc. And people seem like a cool bunch. I ask as I'm looking to relocate to Eastern / Central Europe in the future and was wondering what people's opinions of the city are in terms of living there (I don't mean looking for pro action) , safety, cost of living, things to do etc. I usually spend my time further East in Minsk, Moscow etc. But the idea of renting an apartment in Budapest and hanging out for a few years is enticing.

Would love to hear your opinions.

Budapest is my first love in Europe and I return there every year to visit old friends and former students. Really, I know the Pest side of the city like the back of my hand. The Buda side I know very little about.

First of all, Hungarians are generally nice people. They are laid back (so much so Austrians consider them lazy) , melancholy, thoughtful people. As a foreigner I found them sometimes easy to converse with and at others moody and odd. At first they are reserved but once you break their shell they become much more friendly and enjoyable to be around. Remember, Hungary has one the highest suicide rates in Europe and it has been that way for many decades. Like in many Central European / Eastern European cities, Hungarians walk around with something between an empty expression and a frown. As a Canadian this was one of the more difficult things to get use to. It is also worth noting that the Hungarian language is one of the most unique and peculiar sounding in the world. Hungarians are very proud of it, of course, but if you are like most foreigners you will find it strange and difficult to understand.

As a city Budapest is great! Rent, food and alcohol are cheap for westerners. Food in cafes is very good and if you know where to go it can be cheap, as well. There is a variety of cafes / coffee shops / sport bars and everything else in the city. Really, Budapest has a feel of Eastern Europe meeting Western Europe. Much more so than Kiev but not as much as Vienna. The city center is very safe and there are numerous shops that sell everything you need. I have walked home at 3 in the morning alone in the city center and other than prostitutes no one has bothered me. Budapest is a city that you need to go looking for trouble to find it.

Hungarian women are very attractive, well dressed and can be rather promiscuous. While I find Ukrainian, Russian and Belarussian women more attractive, Hungarian women have a more extoic look. You will see may olive skinned, black haired, green or blue eyes women and the combination can either be a disaster or really sexy. Hungarian women like to drink (and smoke) and can really throw it down. Once they are drunk, most Hungarian women go wild and are a real pleasure to hang out with!

As for the pro scene, I can honestly say I tried very little as I was banging another teacher for a while and then moved onto a student of mine who I dated seriously in Budapest. I do know prostitution is legal in Hungary and it is not hard to find. It can be hit and miss. There are many Roma, Romanian and gipsy girls practicing the trade and they are a shifty bunch. If you are approached by them on the street (they will often stop you and ask if you have a light for their cigarette) keep an eye on their hands as they will go for your personal possessions. I should like to report a very positive experience. I was in the Hotel Ibis on the Calvin another site subway station. It is a very girl friendly hotel. Hi all,

I am planning a business trip to Budapest in a few weeks and was wondering where the best bars / clubs are to pick up "part time" hookers.
