Billy Baht Battles Cambodia...
Billy Baht Battles Cambodia
Local time in Phnom Penh is 4:00 pm. Thank you for flying Air Asia…
I had scored a Baht 299 each way Bangkok – Phnom Penh (PNP) Air Asia ticket ($50 USD each way including fuel, taxes, etc) and I was eager to hit the ground and chill out with some Khmer cuties. The newish airport at PNP is small but efficient and I dutifully lined up for the $20 Visa on Arrival. It’s wise to have correct change because I noticed that Immigration was pulling the old “Sorry, no change. Do you have Thai Baht?” scam. The Thai Baht price is 1,000 THB which is around $30 US. Save yourself $10 and pay with correct change. If you are staying longer than 30 days, get the $25 “Business Visa” which, as I understand can be renewed very easily, unlike the standard Tourist Visa.
Actually the Visa process does not take very long and I whizzed through Immigration and was at the exit in a flash. A quick visit to the ATM (I prefer the Canadia ATM, no fee. ANZ charges a $2 fee) and I was outside negotiating for a moto into town. He asks for $4 but agrees to $2. My driver is very proud of his new Honda Wave and told me he paid $1,300 for it. I notice that the Khmers are driving more Honda and Suzuki motor bikes as opposed to the ubiquitous Chinese Dialam (spelling?) bikes on previous visits. I tell him to take me to Sisowath Quay, the wide boulevard paralleling the river and get a room at Cozynia Hotel, a clean little place for $15 a night. They won’t discount for longer stay, but I decided to stay there anyway.
A quick shower and I’m out trying to buy a Cambodian SIM card. The first few shops refuse me (Must have Cambodian ID card, WTF?!?) but the fourth shop accepts my $USD as my “ID” LOL! The Hello 016 SIM is $10 and I buy $5 worth of time. The $5 card includes 120 minutes of free air time; local SMS text messages are 3 cents in network and 5 cents out of network. It’s a great deal and I never buy more time during my 27 day visit.
I call Sray, a girl I’d chatted to on AFF. She can’t meet tonight but would tomorrow night be OK? You bet honey, so I head off to the Walkabout. It’s the same old WA, filled with expats, skanks, semi skanks and some real cuties. A thin semi skank offers me boom boom, yum yum service for $20. I laugh and say no thanks and she says “OK, OK $15, OK?” I say $10, she smiles and I take her upstairs to the $4 short time room. She was pretty lame in bed but, in a perverse way, I enjoyed pumping her hard and got off despite her attitude. Back downstairs I ordered a beer and then a REAL cutie sat down beside me and she wants to go upstairs. I politely decline saying that I’d just boom boomed and no power. She was cool about it and kept chatting and smiling so I bought her a soft drink. Screw it, this girl is so cute, I decide to take her upstairs power or no power. $10 is fine for her so off we go. Man, she has me hard in the shower and we soon proceed to the bed for a great BBBJ and then boom boom (party hat on junior.) Man, what a difference the right girl makes!! She seems into it or maybe she is just a great actress, but I’m happy and junior is too. We shower afterwards and she seems in no hurry to rush out the door so we chat a bit while she massages me. She is 20, from some country province and new (says she) to PNP. Her English is not great so maybe it’s true. Anyway, who cares, I’m not looking for a wife, just a good lay, LOL! I get her number, then we go downstairs and I blow her a kiss on my way out the door. I work my way up 51st street and have a few more beers then back to my hotel for some much need rest.
My room has no window so it’s nice and dark and I’m a bit surprised to see the time – 11:00 am. Guess I was tired, LOL!
I walk north on Sisowath Quay (river on my right side) and pop in to the Australian Bakery, a very clean place complete with today’s Bangkok Post. I order the $2,85 breakfast (eggs, bacon, beans toast) and a $1.40 brewed cup of coffee. The waitress are fun to talk to and will even teach you some khmer if your willing to learn.
After eating, I’m off walking around PNP. I think that the long suffering Khmers are finally getting a little money in their pockets. Don’t get me wrong, its still a very poor country, but the average man on the street has is just a bit better dressed, more Japanese motor bikes and most locals look well fed.
Back to my hotel to escape the mid day heat and relax a bit. Sray is texting me about dinner tonight so we agree to meet at my hotel at 6:00 pm. At 6 sharp, Sray calls and says she is waiting for me outside. I hop in to her SUV and we go to some nice khmer restaurant somewhere south of the Independence monument. Sray works for an NGO, her parents are middle class professionals. She is a 30, a big girl and a bit shy but her English is excellent and she has a sharp brain as well. Dinner is OK and she even tries to pick up the check, which, although I am impressed, I insist on paying. We drive back to my hotel and I am thinking maybe she is too shy or maybe not into me, so I’m just chilled out and enjoying the scenery. As we pull up to my hotel she shyly asks if she can see my room. Why sure darling, be my guest, why not?
We get in the room and talk for a bit. I think no guts no glory and kiss her. To my surprise, she shivers and thrusts her tongue into my throat. Well, how bout this. Cool! Long story short, we’re soon humping like rabbits and it’s obvious that she loves to fuck.
Man, I love Cambodia.
To be continued…
Re:Hospital cost for locals
Hi,
I was wondering if someone could tell me what the hospital and medicine costs are for locals who have high blood pressure. I have a girl who claims that her mom spends $30 on each hospital visit. It sounds like too much as I don't believe many locals can afford that.
I suspect her mom is hooked on drugs. Is that resonable to believe?
Hi Alfie,
I believe there are differing standards of hospital and I was surprised last year when I needed to take my friend to hospital on New Year's Day. She was suffering from excess alcohol and needed to spend hours laid out receiving intravenous drip of fluids. She then needed to go back the next day for the same and the whole thing cost me $100. (Yes I did see the bill handed over while I was there.)
This was at the hospital/clinic closest to where she lived and may have been cheaper elsewhere but it was by no means a 'plush' clinic.
Why did I do it I hear you ask; the main reason was guilt as she drunk a half bottle of Cinzano when she got upset over me being friendly with her friend.
No guarantee of what use your girl will put any money too but the price may not be that excessive.
Hoping this offers a different perspective of the situation
