Judys is a freelancer bar in the main bar strip on TRL which supposedly is closing down in the very near future. It appears that Judys is just moving down the street, closer to Malones.

Golden 18 used to be a reliable address in SH. But recently, they had unannounced visitors. There were reports of closings and reopenings. Two days ago, we decided to check it out ourselves. On Arrival at 9:30p, we were told by two guys waiting in front of the building that the establishment is closed, but would open at 11:30pm. Weird. We elected rto take our business elsewhere.

Yesterday, a Chinese friend who frequents the same place called and inquired. He was given the same odd opening times. He was also told that it would be "too dangerous" to open earlier, due to a greater chance of visitors in uniform.

Security conscious patrons are advised to avoid the place, unless they like late night action and have a uniform fetish.

New location will be the bottom floor of former Mint on tong ren lu. I believe the others are also correct about new location of Judy's.

Seems this relocation is largely about leases expiring rather than purely the Expo or the construction across the street (though those are certainly factors).

anyway, seems bar life might not be totally dead in Shanghai after all. We'll see.

Last week I was in Shanghai for a short stay.

Thanks to all the ones who helped for direction to the place, I decided to check golden 18 (and compare the level of China to the one in Japan for such places)

I went there 3 times, from Sunday to Tuesday.

Sunday I went at around 11PM

On Monday, I went there at around 10, but as reported below, the guy at the entrance explained me that they would open from midnight only. So I came back at around quarter past 12

Same thing happened on Tuesday.

Sunday I had n. 28 Monday n. 12 and Wednesday n. 35

Basically all of them are really trained to perform the same way, so although I had 3 different girls, the service was almost the same.

28 Could speak a bit english, so I think that was the one I had the best impression of.

12 was ok, she was not so friendly (might be the language problem) so that was

35 was the nicest looking and the most professional but it was all to much as a automatic learned action with her. I almost had the impression of being with a mannequin sometimes (but a really sexy mannequin)

35 did do some extra service though, every time I blew (2 times), she would clean the shaft with a BBBJ, a first time for me and quite a turn on I must say.

So the service I received at G18 goes more or less like this:

Get in the shower room on the special chair, where a couple of minutes later another girl would come and both of them will start to clean you and eventually one would start a BBBJ. There is an elaborate scam being perpetrated at the Richy, Luxe, Club G Plus and Babyface Nightclub in Shanghai and elsewhere in China. Avoid these clubs!

My friend and I went for 2 nights to four different Shanghai bars all of which were owned by the same person or related parties. There were a lot of beautiful girls there. We got phone numbers from several different girls. Then we noticed that all of the girls we talked to had the exact same white square cell phone. And all of them asked us to text them the following day. None of the girls we phoned called us back when we phoned them the next day. But they responded to our texts by suggesting we go back to the same venue! The following day we went back to another night club and the same exact thing happened but we got suspicious when the 7th girl had the exact same white square cell phone as everyone else. How many people have the exact same cell phone?

So we talked to the last girl and she admitted that she was paid 200 RMB per night to stay until 7 PM and get guys to buy her drinks and come back and buy tables. The venue owner gave her a white square cellular phone so she could give a fake phone number to any guy who asked for her phone number. The club owner or patron responds to any text message to these phones by suggesting that you come back to the same club.

Considering the number of women at this venue who had the EXACT SAME PHONE, we figure that 60% of the girls at the club were in on the scam. A bottle costs 1500 RMB-2800 RMB in these club don’t buy one.

DO NOT GO TO ANY OF THESE VENUES. A large portion of the women there are covertly in on an elaborate scam to get patrons to purchase tables and drinks. If you see a girl with a square white cell phone she is probably part of the scam, so avoid her!

Of course this is a forum for mongers, but if you’re trying to get girls by picking them up, BEWARE of these venues.

I went to a bar on the 4th floor of Bund 18 with my friend MD last night trying to pick up girls. My friend was talking to this girl, who appeared to be really excited to talk with him.
