if i have heard it once then i have heard it 100 times. my barber went to rio with me. i took him to the cheap spot 85 buenos aires. chicks there are like $10. cool. so after that i said now we are going to 4x4. it is more expensive (at i guess it was about $60 for 45 minutes back then) but you will see why. i remember him saying man i am not going in there and spend that much money when i can get these for this price. we walked into 4x4 and dirt couldn't even get on the rug. that dude was gone to the room with a girl before you could say peety wheatstraw. i was laughing my ass off.

i know preachers who have gone to rio and talked all kind of shit about how they wouldn't do anything with the women, but when boots are on the ground all that shit goes out the window. seeing is believing.

Hi Everyone. I'm a frequent visitor to Sosua and have posted many reports and pics in the past, but now find myself in a situation where it is easier to travel to Boca Chica than Sosua. The Boca thread is pretty quiet, so I was hoping some of you regulars who may have been to Boca could send a little info my way as regards to best hotels (decent but still chica friendly) and recommendation for Boca Chica. Anyone done any scuba diving there?

If you are going for girls go to Sosua. The bus takes 4 hours from sd and is a decent ride cost less then 10 dollars. The ride gives me a chance to nap I would not waste my time there. See alot more mongers in Sosua because it is the place to be in the DR. Girls come from all over the island to strut there stuff. Flight to SD is 200 less then puerto plato. For me it is a no brainer. Good luck. There are things and places to do and go but Boca Chica is the little league. I think many more options in Sosua.

Otherwise, check the BC thread for hotels. The hotels haven't really changed. I don't scuba dive but I'm pretty sure you can find it in the area. That should be pretty easy to google. Juan Dolio is also close by and may have some options. If you go to BC, there are a few clubs and casas, but you need to know where you are going. I don't know how you roll (language skills, car, online hookups, etc.) but you can have a good time downsouth if you have a good plan.

It is nothing like Sosua now. I would prefer to stay in Santo Domingo then stay in Boca Chica. Lets just say the beach might be fun at night but there is just really one bar to go to that the women hang out at and they reip the Gringos off with drinks.

Thanks for the heads up. I am planning my first trip to DR. I will fly into SD. I was planning to stay one night in SD then go to Sosua. Can you recommend your fav spots in SD and Sousa.

It seems like a good idea on one hand. Especially considering there may be long lines of people at the airport (POP) all trying to purchase one. I read the terms of agreement. I wanted to purchase 3 cards, one for me and 2 others. But I'm not clear about being able to put them in different names. Does each card that I purchase have to be in my name only? The site doesn't seem to have info about that. One good thing, the cards are good for a year it says.

Apparently they scan tourist cards before they allow you to go to a customs agent. So my other concern is the posibility of the card being soiled, un-readable or damaged in some way. Does anyone here have any experience with using a pre-paid tourist card? Are they really convenient or is it more of a risk? I don't know if it is ok to post a direct link. Here's the site.
