Sky was right next to Nong's legit massage shop. The owner offered her a very low price per month for the lease on the property that was to become Sky. Guess it was not low enough. I would agree Mick that the lookers who are also performers are going abroad these days. I was told that in order to keep some lookers around some of the shops on 24/1 are allowing gals to work 2 weeks a month. Then they have time to go work abroad.
They all dream of making big money overseas. Some do, most don't. Most girls that go to Malaysia will fall foul of the corrupt police over there. They go and party with the girls for free and then one day they get raided and thrown in the slammer. Of course they can buy themselves free which means they hand over all their savings. One of my all time favorites and good friend is now working legally in Singapore in Geylang. Makes good money because she is the top girl at the shop. However she is committed there for 2 years and only gets one day off every 3 months. They are not allowed to leave the shop overnight. No outside bookings. Yes, can earn a bundle but also is a virtual prisoner. And once the time is up they cannot return for another stint. Some of the girls go with an "agent" abroad. They first have to work for free until they have paid up the fee and the cost of travel. Other countries such as Korea are starting to clamp down on Thai girls working in the local massage parlors. So all in all I think the lure of going abroad will slow down soon with the risks becoming to great.
Lots of people want to open Massage parlors, but there are so many already. Far too many MPs for all of them to be viable. Sky has not been around that long, right?
I wonder if these massage parlors fail due to failing to get enough good looking girls, or if the location being a little unusual, prevents guys from going to have a look?
I must admit I would probably not go to Sky location, or Bongkot, unless looking for a particular girl. It's much easier when there are several MPs near each other.
So I am thinking location of the MP is a major factor, followed by failure to have enough of the right girls there to build a momentum. Any other theories why these MPs would close?
The basic answer of how they go out of business: market saturation. Not enough buyers for the product that they have can produce, for them to make a worthwhile profit. The question though is why is that the case? Probably incompetent / inexperienced management / owners. People who don't understand the market, and don't understand how to market to potential customers.
I live nearby Sky massage and walked past it many times, but never thought about going in. The problem I have is that most-times the quality of the women is so bad, it's just awkward going in and leaving. And that's that case with most any oilly or semi-legit massage parlor. Which is why I need to see the girls standing outside. But the pollution levels at that part of Sukh (because of how the BTS platform traps it) are insane and the girls don't want to sit outside there. Also, too much foot traffic for girls to be standing outside screaming "massager mister" too. So it was just a really bad location.
They would have done better if they could have moved to a side street (away from the pollution and police pressure to make Bangkok look more family friendly). If that was the case, real women (not fake photos on a website doesn't help bring in customers, certainly not repeat customers who get mad after seeing what the women really looks like when they show up in person) would have been on display, and they would have established customers. But they never could establish customers, so they went out of business and closed after ultra-high season.

Obviously she is shown as working in a completely different location and job description on her work permit. I would also bet my life that she only has a 90 day visa and no permission to work. Far from working legally!
Especially in the big cities like BKK and HCMC prices going up and service going down.
That's a direct result of monopolies. Whenever you see that trend, stop completely and remember that. For example, Bangkok is having a monopoly problem in the private healthcare industry right now (so this probably carries over to other industries). Bumrungrad is merging with a lot of other major private hospitals and prices are rising while service is going to shit. And you see the same pattern in hotels? Probably because a few well connected hotel holding companies are the only players for that district that you are booking lodging in.
As for massage shops, probably because most massage shops are all owned by the same person for that given Soi. Walk out of one, you're just walking into the other shop they own. Do you think these people care about your experience? This kind of non-competitive culture, anti-free-trade, old-way thinking is true Thailand. Service will always move towards shit because it is their culture to collude and merge and to frown upon competition. It's nothing like in the west where (most) companies compete for your business. It started out as free trade, but as each year goes, the girls get worst looking everywhere as it's just the same owner eventually. They are able to employ lower price girls (girls who can't get better P4 P rates elsewhere so the shop can take a bigger cut) and charge higher prices by colluding basically.
Hello,
It seems that finally some of the businesses are beginning to realize that they not keeping up with customer expectations will in the end put them out of business.
Hotel staff at breakfast not being able to understand the very basic questions you are posing and still bring you the wrong food. WiFi signal just very bad. Towels with-holes. Coffeemaker provided but no coffee. Staff texting all the time.
Especially in the big cities like BKK and HCMC prices going up and service going down.
My hotel in HCMC, free WiFi Everywhere? In the lobby so so in the room disconnecting all the time while trying to book a flight! After you tell the staff they will be on their phones within a minute. No way get it fixed! But they just don't care.
If a girl in a MP has a bad attitude just mention her name and if there are other customers with the same experience keep naming her and the shop that accepts her bad attitude. We are not paying peanuts anymore.
Greetings,
Frits.
What MPs that are not Tulip and Annies, are beginning to realize this, can you give me a real live example? Thanks.

They just have to answer their phone and hail a taxi to the punters room. But even that doesn't keep top talent. For example, Rung from honeybee is very beautiful and super skilled at sensual massage, 21. But even after getting the out-call perk she still left that place after a year of working there, after getting a titjob, onto bigger and better things (more money).

They would have done better if they could have moved to a side street (away from the pollution and police pressure to make Bangkok look more family freindly). If that was the case, real women (not fake photos on a website doesn't help bring in customers, certainly not repeat customers who get mad after seeing what the women really looks like when they show up in person) would have been on display, and they would have established customers. But they never could establish customers, so they went out of business and closed after ultra-high season.
In Soi 24/1, I became a customer of Boss Massage at one time, and later of Can Cam, only because girls were sitting outside, and I could see they had certain cute girls. The other shops in the same Soi did not have these cuties on display so did not get my business.
Addict, Orient, 102, and Mango have had girls sitting outside as well, however 102 never had a girl looking good enough, and Orient had a pretty girl, at the time I was exiting another place so wrong timing. Addict's girls outside were not doing it for me (surgeries).
So I do believe having a pretty girl to seen is critical for pulling customers like me. Way back, I only ever went to Yoremichi because I saw Bai Fern arriving in Soi 26. I went in Cherry when I saw Angie, my god jaw dropping gorgeous, she was. I went in Pink only when saw Gaew arrive on a motorbike. Never go in there any more. I went in Loli-tas because saw Anne sitting outside, and could see she had a great ass, for example.
I also think it is critical for multiple MPs to be all located near each other so I can do the rounds, of several places looking for a pretty girl to try, or try to fall back to a regular girl.
I went to Bongkot for June, previously, but never saw any other girls there good looking enough. Maybe they had them, but they were not evident. Never seen the Sky shop as just did not go to that area. In recent times have looked only Soi 24,24/1, 26,33, and intended to try Soi 22 MPs.
A very high proportion of average to ugly girls, certainly causes me to wish to browse through quite a number of MPs, looking for some spark, and I want to see real girls in good lighting (sunlight even better). Not really the poor lighting in Addict, after coming in from sunshine.
A significant portion of MP girls I ever did were first seen outside the shop, maybe 60%+

In Geylang there are no illegals. The shop that would employ any girl without a the proper papers would have to close. I know the shop my girl works and I know the boss there. They allow overnight bookings but only in the shop. And Farangs and other non Singaporeans pay double the fee to the Singapore bros for an overnight stay. There are illegal Thais working in Singapore but only in apartments and there is a lot of switch and bait. Anyway I am not trying to use this forum for an education on Singapore, only correcting a statement.

Girl: Run.
Age: 45 (but looks rather like 35+).
Home: Khon Kaen.
Place: Tulip.
Price: 1. 900 b for 1 HR.
Shots: 1, but probably more if you can manage.
Body: nice face IMHO, slim, 160 cm tall, long black hair, small be cup, nice round ass, no baby damage.
Room: hey, it's Tulip. Small, old, outworn. But who the fuck cares about the room there.
Sex: Excellent.
Massage: did some nice oil massage to start things off.
Other: DFK, DT, Rimming, anal for sure.
Run will never be a favorite among mongerer here, just because of her age. But she is a great fuck, a very nice girl to talk to and has that nice "take care" attitude. Will for sure consider to repeat with her.
Was also told that Sky was to be closing yesterday, although that is not confirmed.
I passed there last night at about 7 pm and she shop was closed.

Bongkot is now closed. Does anybody know where Cash go? Is she retired or go to other shop?

Girl: Janet.
Age: 41 (looks a little younger).
Home: Surin.
Place: Tulip.
Price: 1. 900 THB for 1 HR.
Shots: 1, but more if you can manage.
Body: nice face IMHO, always smiling, slim, 155 cm tall, brown hair stacked up to a knot, A cup, nice ass, no notable baby damage.
Room: standard Tulip room. Small, a bed, a table, a shower cabin.
Sex: awesome tantric sex.
Massage: did some nice oil massage to start things off, used a lot of oil, balls and prostate massage.
Other: DFK, DT, fucked her pussy in many positions, didn't fuck her ass this time, but does anal for sure.
That tantric massage felt really great and Janet does know how to do it. It's an awesome experience if you are into it, but unfortunately it made me so hot that I shot my load before I could fuck her ass. Anyway I can recommend Janet if you don't mind mature girls.

Home for a visit
Bongkot is now closed.
I'm really sorry to hear that. I stopped there the day before I left Bangkok.
I'm coming back to visit next week and this is a disappointment. Where indeed did the ladies go?
Tulip & Snow White?
It seems I also missed Sky Massage.
One of many legends I missed was Opor at Tulip. She's back?
Candy Massage doesn't say, but I've gotten the idea that the girls are A+.
This is a quote from the post about Tulip that turned up here:

This sounds exactly like what I enjoy. Since there is no website, is it possible to book a lady (be it Janet or Opor)?
Candy Massage doesn't say, but I've gotten the idea that the girls are A+.
It was reported a while back that Candy Massage changed ownership, and service standards have slipped since Kuhn Candy left. As always YMMV.
