I plan to go on a visa run to Ranong and stay a couple of nights to try out local (Burmese) talent. Any suggestions as to the mongering scene? Local as well as otherwise. Bars, brothels, streetwalkers. Have heard about action in Soi 3, but got no clue as to what and where it is in Ranong.
Mae sot is pretty dead, some hotels are supposedly offering call ins. Otherwise I didn't have the energy to find the burmese places close to the bridge. From some of the hotel search engines I found a hotel with "bad reviews", ie promising endorsements for mongers. Porntep hotel or similar. The hotel is mostly arabs and indians but they don't descriminate. After you have put down your bag in your room they are angling for massage and stuff. Man or woman ST boom boom is all the same to them. Some travel site suggested you can get a lot more nasty requests full filled. Standard fee appears to be 1k for sex service by a burmese lady. She had a rack to die for but other than that basic fuck bag experience.
Tak, a few miles inland. The riverside hotel has a massage place at ground level that has the average services but it isn't cheap. 1200b for 30 minutes as claimed by the mamasan. Stayed loong over that but this probably depends all on the lady you stay with. There was extra services for tips and no one cared for the clock. I wouldn't bet on that being standard though. Pop and go is the supposed service so no GFE.

But all of them have been closed. But that s not mean there is no action in Tak. In fact you need connection for getting what you want. Price is 1000 baths for ST. The mamasan will asked you what kind of lady you like (age, slim or fat etc) and will call to some girls in her booklet.
I ve find 2 small brothels, one with 2 grannies inside, they was in their 50's and requested 400 baths in a very basic room the brothel is located near the CAT shop.
The other is located behind tesco, during my visit just one girl in her 30's inside. 1000 baths. Ridiculous price! Before I leave the mamasan ask me what kind of girl I was looking for and called some girls by phone. None of them attracted me.
Conclusion Don t go to Tak for mongering it s a waste of time. But in case you have to spend a night here be sure you will find a bed partner for ST or LT. Tak is sleepy but not dead.
lampang is not a very good place for tourists, scowls and "farang farang" finger pointing in the streets. after 20:00 it turns from the curious farang calling to the hide your children farang calling. even trying to get a drink was a challenge."the strip" around the riverside restaurant and guest house was barely open at all. the riverside was the only place welcoming but that explained it self, they serve food and drink at bangkok prices. the other bars just didn't want you there. no tuk tuk to ply for information, if they exist they go home to sleep before dark.
some karaoke here and there with the walking dead as crew. did not want to give them money for nothing so just went back to my room. this obviously is a numbers list town with delivery for those in the know. i wrote this in night before and day after tried to get a legit massage, the place just hounded me out of there. has there been some farang serial rapemurderer prowling the region or what? this has been the only town where they just tell you to sod right off.
mae sai still has the strip going under the bridge and continuing until you find hookers. if you go 18:00. 20:00 there is actual hookers, after that the mode shifts to creepy thai style. later around 23:00 the focus is for **** or uncomfortably close.
early, found a soon starting on 30 for 500b, took me to the 100b hotel towards the river at the roundabout. smoke and cim, low english. negotiated cim fee after the deed was done. as i'm not thai i paid up what she asked. 200b.
next day later at night, **** galore and total thai focus. the place at the roundabout corner, looks like a small temple with bars on it. on the corner there was a butch offering older providers, or so i thought. i got one that looked about 22, 700b, i made the mistake of trusting them and paid up in advance. this has even worked in many 300b places without issue. but here they run scams for the white people. ***** undressed and said "no" then showered. of course the butch feigned interest, they made some story about showing me a new lady in 30 minutes. this is of course up there with "of course i will still call you after we have sex". i sat down outside to wait, the butch obviously has a calling list, she ferried in ladies so young they looked to still have peach fuzz for the 25+ thai men. with me sitting outside, people avoided stopping their bikes so they just got more and more agitated. time to leave, they of course are protected so there is nothing i can do to them that doesn't involve me getting beaten or left for the river rats. walked back under the bridge, more children looking to get a new phone during the way there. so, don't be the idiot that pays up front in mae sai and make sure you don't get any minors.

I never passed over the border, I just visited because it was a border town. You would think there is sure to be some other girly areas in town that are not a tourist trap. Some wiki moralized over the "black market under the bridge", there wasn't even kids selling tobacco. We should start hanging out with the teachers and single white women. They claim to see / find hookers, drugs, blackmarkets in every god damned corner.

From 2000 and 2003 mae sai was a real little paradise for mongering. Tachilek remain a good place ever in 2007. You have to know where are the brothels. Not easy without a tuk tuk, But it worth the investment if you plan to come back often. I always have good time in tachilek brothels. During my last visit in Mae sai the girls quality was really low, and the prices was the same as tachilek brothels (but girls there have much better attitude).
For Lampang I m just curious that s all, I just spend couple hours in this town long times ago. ; and never find the time to come back in this town. ; just wonder if it s worth since so few info are available about Lampang.

I have got to be here for 3 months now, So far me can't find even a bar where it can be farangs. About ladys me have only seen "Galaxy" really nice lady's but not a word English at all and really bad style since you a farang. If you even want for more the bar fee is 5000:- thb!
