Just ring the doorbell (either at the main front door, or if you prefer, they also have a discreet rear entrance) and the receptionist will come and let you in. All are terraced houses or standalone buildings, so there is no danger of accidentally ringing the wrong bell. There is no obligation to make a booking, so the receptionist will show you to a private waiting room. BD.[/QUOTE]There are many "cash cards" available now for foreign use, where you can lock in exchange rates in advance, and avoid hefty for-ex rate charges and bank fees. Shop around in your home country to get the best deals before you leave.

Re credit card surcharges, the government has limited what these can be, generally not more than 2 - 3%. Many smaller (sexual service) shops don't offer the facility at all and will only deal in cash. Otherwise, payment by card is widespread. Some places may have a 50 c surcharge is the payment is under $10.
