This little Ratu is the younger sister of another regular of mine from P. Ratu. Palabuhan Ratu at Bayu Amrta Hotel right on the point in Room No. 7. Rooms 7. 11 are right on the cliff with the waves smashing right below. Its nickname is actually Poo Point because in the old days you would be surfing then someone would have a crap and the waste would flow straight out into the lineup where you were surfing. Unfortunately my computer crashed about 5 weeks ago and I didn't back it up onto my external drive for about a year so I have lost a whole cache of photos that I had. Theres a fair bit of pussy around the Ratu but not as good as the Pratu Ratu and her older sister. You have the infamous Monkey Market which is just before the Samudra Beach Hotel which is a lot of beachside bars / discos and a karaoke bar over at the swimming pool on the other side of the bay towards the new 3 x 330 MW coal fired power station. This is why I learnt to speak Sundanese so you can sweet talk little gems like PR. First Indonesian saying I learnt was in Pangandaran 1988 which is "Mau tapi malu karena takut enak".

Classic rip off story on the history of this place as it used to be owned by a german guy who still owns Bunga Ayu which is right beside Bayu Amrta on the beach. I forget his name but he has been in Indo since the late 60's and Bayu Amrta was in his wifes name and Bunga Ayu was still in his mates name. Unfortunately his wife died and the family swooped in and took over the place and kicked him out but luckily they couldn't touch Bunga Ayu. Bunga Ayu has some great units with kitchen right on Poo Point also.
