BBFS. Another point of view
Statistics are manufactured by people to support the message they intend to convey. If you categorise cause of death by behavioural patterns it is way more likely to die from the consequences of smoking, alcohol or bad dietary habits than from what is deemed risky sexual behaviour.
Is it more enjoyable to die from cancer, cardiac failure or stroke? It appears to be buy the daily choices people are making in our societies. But talk to them on the death bed and you see a change of heart.
I just turned 50, like LH am athletic, have always kept fit (active runner, cyclist, triathlete) , and eat a very healthy diet. I keep on top of my health to do the best I can to live long. The distribution of risks in my life is towards the sexual area and it is an intentional choice as I wish to enjoy my sexual life to the fullest.
I personally believe that risks are exaggerated by far. I'm not willing to be intimidated by a massive international campaign that originates in the mind of people in countries where prostitution and promiscuity are frowned upon
You have to wait at least 16 weeks with no sex with anyone else
Unless you take the AIDS for the virus rather than for the anti-bodies, you can be HIV+ and still test negative up to 16 weeks after being infected. Unless you and your partner are prepared to not have sex with anyone else for that 16 week period, there is always a risk of getting infected / infecting your partner.
