Hi,
Does anyone have any input on the Carat Spa Hotel in Guangzhou? Its supposedly a new hotel with a good spa & sauna.
I am not sure of the services they provide.
I will be statying there in next week & any inputs would be highly appreciated.
Will later pool in my comments too.

The options in Panyu are limited nowadays. Never really recovered from the Asian Games crackdown. That said, there is always KTV for 1, 000 RMB ST. The one in the Sichang Hotel is reputed to have the biggest and best selection in town. For sauna, the operators are pretty cautious about offering FS. You can try the one next to the Sichang Hotel. They offer massage with HE for 183 (clothes on) , or tit massage HE for 263 (clothes off). Don't expect much of a massage. For 398, you can have 2 girls. You can get FS if you play your cards right. They have other girls for FS and use the hotel rooms apart from the sauna itself. However, the selection and quality leave something to be desired. Damage is 600 RMB. A bit pricey IMHO for what you can get. Just my POV.

If I am not staying overnight in CP, I might choose to just taxi from Guangzhou to KTV in Panyu so if you can provide more info, would be great.

I will be staying in Marriott China Hotel in a couple of weeks. Any one have suggestion for good, not too expensive, FS massage nearby? Have never been successful in Guangzhou but found decent place in CP very near train station. Any suggestions for Guangzhou near Marriott will be greatly appreciated.
I'm here for the Canton Fair and got a hotel approximately 7 minutes by taxi. This is my first time at the fair and I've been doing alot of research to keep my nights busy. I've so far been to one Japanese hostess bar nearby the Garden Hotel, one Sauna in the Haizhu area and had one outcall service from a card received from someone outside the fair.
Breakdown in costs:
580rmb for a bottle of 12yr old Macallan and 200rmb tip for the pretty 5'8" girl sitting pretty next to me. I don't speak japanese nor do I speak mandarin but I guess the body language was enough. Didn't get anywhere with the girl at the end of the night though. = (
38rmb for a much needed foot massage which lasted a good 45 minutes and 100rmb for a great HJ with a very vocal performance and lots of touching (by me) of different parts of the body. The girl was stacked, thin, and pretty. My rating is a 7/10 for her looks. Total price was only 138rmb. I think it was a steal but the neighborhood and establishment wasn't the cleanest or best.
500rmb for an outcall service. I'm waiting for her as I submit this thread. Hope she's a good one. I'll leave more details on the service afterwards.
I have to admit though, I'm still hella bored being here by myself. Hope I can meet up with some of you guys out there and party somewhere. I still have half a bottle left at the Japanese hostess bar if you guys want to meet up and get a few drinks.

Hand jobs aren't my idea of fun but certainly available at Zhong Fa hotel close to main railway station (just follow the road next to Macdonalds opposite Guangzhou main railway station and it shows up on Google maps at maximum res). FS may be available. Different service girls have different clothes. After spotting one in a micro mini hitching up her tights in the corridor, my guess is that its available. Didn't have time to go back and check.
There's an Irish pub behind Garden Hotel where there are FS africans. Just went for a beer as I have an early flight. Girl was making eyes at me so I called her over. From South Africa, lives in Hong Kong, no visa required for Hong Kong but has to go out from time to time. Said she was looking for customers, so I said better to return to her table as I needed my sleep and she'd never get into my hotel anyway. (In spite of visiting hours being up to 12 midnight, security hauled a girl out of one guy's room one afternoon). A while later she called me over and said lets have a drink together anyway. I asked how much she got in Guangzhou and she said same as in Hong Kong, so I'd guess about 1000rmb, possibly more, but that she'd occasionally reduce her price if she really felt someone couldn't afford it. As its Canton Fair time I originally thought that she might be visiting the fair, but realised that the other African girls in the bar (half a dozen of them) were probably also on the game but a little more circumspect about making eye contact. Also spotted a couple of Chinese girls floating around.
Had a freebie with one of my suppliers reps (she's been flirting with me online for a couple of years. More so of late. After my first dinner with her I went to kiss her on the cheek, but she backed away, so I thought I'd misread her flirtations, but a couple of days later she called and said she wanted to have another dinner with me. I had no idea why until she suggested we go back to her apartment for coffee) so wasn't really looking, but it certainly looked to me like p4p is still available if not as easily as before the Asian games.

The deal? 468rmb. 2 pops (not 1 pop + HJ but 2 real pops in the Y).100 minutes available, free drinks and free food. No hidden charges, except the 10rmb shorts (they have free ones too) and the tip to the guys in the locker rooms.
I met a nice 23 year old girl (fake tits, but nice butt and face) , enthusiastic attitude and nice service. No CIM though, and she said no one does that there (to be verified). We chatted for about 1 hour, she grew up in an orphanage and moved to the city about one year ago, poor girl, I felt like shit. Anyway, the weirdest thing is SHE CAN'T READ O_o. I have never met a completely illiterate Chinese, but she said that in the orphanage they did not have any school :/
Anyhow, after the very good deal, I slacked a bit in the common room sipping drinks and dining with a decent serving of noodles. Right there I also discovered that if I booked in advance I could have saved 30 rmb.
Chatting with one of the "managers", I asked here how came that they stayed open while so many places were closing down, and she replied that the owner has good relationships with the local government and the police. Meaning: he knows who to pay to stay in business :P.
So, the damage was 468+10 (shorts) +15 (tip) for 2 pops. Drinks, food.
For reference. Fare by taxi from area around Garden Hotel is about 45 rmb.

One is that other services are not available now. The second is that they may be more conservative in what they say to people who call on the phone. The code word on the menu at the sauna is "Thai Massage", which is what you want to ask for. Perhaps you could call and ask if they still offer Thai Massage right now. (Is the Fair still going on? I don't know.) Otherwise, swing by and take a look. More options may be given to someone who shows up in person. Good luck and file a report!

I am not a big KTV fan so I am not sure about all of the costs since I am not a regular customer at Sichang. I've only been there a couple of times and was invited by a BSD so did not pay anything except for my girl. I am not certain but I think it was 3-10-15, but in some cases LT was not on offer. I just went for ST anyway. You can also pick girls from a line-up and take them out for 1, 000 RMB ST without booking a room. I did this once awhile back because there was another girl I had to have when I was there with the BSD but she was a regular girl of one guy in the party.

But the girl who answered the call said they ONLY had Chinese massage. I did not bother swinging by because it was quite late at night and I was pretty tired.
I thought about trying this past week when I was in Guangzhou again. But my "freebie" girlfriend has come to spend time with me. So I had passed. This past week was the very last period of the Fair, but the exhibition was in Pa Zhou. So the "Thai Massage" might have been available.
I would definitely give that a try on my next trip.

I do have many friends in Guangdong area and I know Huadu, Shenzhen, Duangguan, and other.
