By the time the timid and cautious get the all clear, there'll be talk of skyrocketing stds or some other bogeyman.
I just booked the covid insurance with an outfit called Seven Corners. $33! A two-minute phone call and they emailed me the certificate while I was on the phone with the guy. $100 K coverage. While the trip is from the 16th to 28th they emailed me a one-page doc that said coverage began Feb 8--28.
Be clear that you're declining 'travel insurance' regarding flights etc. My sense was that that's where their real business is. Unless you want that.
As with all insurance, the devil is in the details. Perhaps there are some here that are actually interested in being covered. I was clear that I just wanted a piece of paper to present to Phil immigration and be greeted with a 'Mabuhay' and be on my way.

I've never had an easy run with aggregators should there be any problems at all or if I want changes. Much easier dealing directly with the airlines. Just use Google Flights to find the best prices and times for the dates around when you want to fly.

Vaccinated aliens now allowed in PH
MANILA, PhilippinesThe Bureau of Immigration (BI) announced that it will be
implementing the new policy from the government expanding the categories of aliens
allowed to enter the country.
In an advisory, BI Commissioner Jaime Morente stated that following the recent
resolution from the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious
Diseases (IATF), all fully vaccinated aliens may be allowed to enter the Philippines starting
February 10.
Morente clarified that those nationals from the 157 countries listed under
Executive No. 408, series of 1960 as amended and other nationalities covered by related
Foreign Service Circulars may be allowed to enter the country visa free, while those who
are visa-required must secure an entry visa and an Entry Exemption Document (EED) from
the nearest Philippine consulate or embassy.
[I]Arriving fully-vaccinated aliens would, however, need to present proof of
vaccination as approved by the IATF, a negative RT-PCR result valid for 48 hours prior to
departure from country of origin, and a travel insurance for Covid-19, with a minimum
coverage of USD 35k, valid for the duration of their stay in the country, which will be
presented to the airlines upon check-in.
Arriving tourists are also required to have a passport valid for at least 6 months and
an outbound ticket.[/I]
The IATF resolution stated that those whose proof of vaccinations cannot be
confirmed will be subjected to a facility-based quarantine until the release of their
negative RT-PCR test taken on the 5th day.
Morente clarified that unvaccinated foreign nationals, regardless of visa type, will
not be allowed entry.
Following the direction of the IATF, unvaccinated and partially vaccinated aliens
will not be allowed entry, said Morente. Only those who are fully vaccinated may be
admitted, he added.
Morente said that unvaccinated foreign nationals and those who are unable to
present the required documents will be excluded and will be boarded in the next available
flight back to their port of origin.
He also urged airlines to board only eligible foreign nationals, and warned that
those who board ineligible aliens will be subjected to fines and sanctions.[/B]

If someome wants to argue with every immigration, heath, random guy that doesn't like the colour of his shoes, about minimum requirements then good luck to them. I'm going to err on the side of caution and take a print out of everything I might possibly need.
I've seen too many Sovereign Citizens come totally unstuck.

Everyone has to make their own calculation. For my part it is: Late nights and bars are not my thing. I can accept the rules on the ground and figure out how to adjust while I'm there. As long as there are ways to get a girl (or two) into a hotel and I can still have decent meal. That's good enough for me.
Perhaps the Philippines will a monger's paradise in a few months. I certainly hope so. But given how quickly variants can pop up and shut down international travel, there's some uncertainly even in late February travel. Ultimately it's an adventure and at least others on the forum can learn from my mistakes.

I will reach Davao in March for one month and I'd like to ask a question.
I'd like to rent an apartment on the Mindanao coastal area in front of Samal.
I would not like to rent it in Davao center. In fact if I wil rent on the coastal area, I will be facilitated to reach Samal several times.
But the most important thing for me is to know if that area is a good or if it is better to get an apartment in Davao center.

I've been to so many condos the last 2+ months in Manila, Cebu and Negros. And none of them gave me any problems in bringing girls to my room, the worst that had happened is that they were asked for their ID and had to sign a form saying that they don't have any of the COVID symptoms, but many of them didn't even get asked for anything because they came in with me.
One advice, is follow all the rules that you need to fill-up or you need to bring when you arrive in Philippines, even if you need to download an app, do it, now here everything is online so you either have to fill-up forms on your phone, or download an app. The Health Pass is very important, that's where you need to download your Vaccine certificate and COVID test result (as a screenshot or have it ready as a file). When I came here the first week of December (to my bad luck they changed to strict rules a day earlier because of the new variant), and I forgot to fill-up the Health Pass, so I tried to fill-up the form on my cell in Manila airport and I kept getting an error, so I asked for help to one of the airport reps, he also kept getting the same error, the problem was the airport wifi was so slow and it kept getting stuck. So they had to fill-up the form manually, anyways to make it short, the person filling-up manually made a mistake (maybe did it in purpose) and put that I don't have a Vaccine certificate, and just because of that I had to stay afew days longer in the quarantine hotel (I think it was 3 or 4 days longer, I forgot), of course, I ended up complaining from the hotel and they change it (after a dozens of phone calls and text, hard to make it change when I don't have load and I had to borrow a phone from the receptionist). Another thing, if you are planning to travel between provinces, you will have to fill-up an online form on your cellphone similar to the Health Pass, but more simple and easier to fill-up, is call S-Pass.
By the way, there will be a chance you will get your COVID test result late in the day like at night or late afternoon like I did (the COVID test you will do inside the quarantine hotel), and you may have to stay another day in the quarantine hotel because is hard to find a last minute room within a hour or two, but not worries, since you have a negative COVID result, you can bring a guess there, I only had to change of room (my quarantine room was a single bed room), so I got a bigger room with a queen bed and I could bring anyone I want, my friend had to show her ID and fill up a form that she doesn't have any symptoms, and that's it!
So guys don't worry about bringing girls to your condo. I don't know how strict hotels are, because I only stayed in airbnb condos, cheap condos from 1,000 php per night up to average price condos (the nice ones with big pools / gym around mall of asia) that cost me around 2,000 php per night, all of them never gave me problems bringing girls. Actually I did stayed in one hotel in Negros a small city / port there, the hotel was a nice one with pool and gym, and they didn't even asked my friend for ID or to fill-up anything.
Worse case scenario if you still are afraid to bring girls, just get a house all for yourself and you will never have problems there even if you bring 2-3 girls per day, just be discreet about it without being loud or drunk.

Some residences would not allow additional guests (more than your ONE registered guest) inside at any time. Others allowed 1 additional guest during the daytime (9 am-5 pm-ish) only, and only during less-strict ECQ / Alert-Level times.

I'm so used to it now filling up that form, I don't know how many times I filled up.
An advise about filling-up that form, if sometimes you are going to a strict city (Alert Level 3 or up), and the S-Pass won't allow you, just ask a friend for her address in a city close by that is Alert level 2 or better, or you can put a hotel you stayed in that city before, I did that before and they never check.

So my point is if you book monthly they might have more strict rules, BUT if you book short term like in most of my airbnb condos (afew days or 1 week) they never said anything about bringing different girls everyday, sometimes I bring 2 different girls in one day and I had no problems. My guess is the security will know who is short stay and who is long stay so the building admin asked the security to be more strict with the long stay renters since they might have problems with condo owners complaining the most since they are staying for a while, but at this point I'm just speculating. Sometimes in the Mall of Asia condos they will forget I was a guest (they have so many guards changing all the time) and they will ask me are you a guest sometimes until the other guard will tell them yes he is a guest here, and they will ask my friend to give her ID and fill out the COVID symptoms form.
Like I said before if you want to bring 3 different girls in one day, then staying in a house is the safest way, I know a house in Pasay (close to the border with Makati) that I had not problems doing that on September of 2020 during GCQ.
By the way, there is not more GCQ or ECQ or MECQ in Philippines, now they have Alert level from 1 to 5 for the last 5 months. Just in case the newbies during COVID times don't get confuse.
