A. Trump used his own money to pay off Stormy Daniels. The National Enquirer fully expected that Trump was going to reimburse it for the money it paid Karen McDougal. But Trump being Trump, he didn't fork over the money. In Edwards case, Fred Baron, who along with the rest of the plaintiffs bar stood much to gain from having one of their own in the Presidency, paid the money. C. Trump was tried in Manhattan, where 87% of the population voted for Biden. The prosecutor campaigned on jailing Trump.
