Even was interested last year in partnering with local owners for the World Cup except the restrictions were ridiculous and the prospects of making a profit impossible. Originally the new kiosks rented for 225,000 Reais for five years, plus a monthly rent, plus utilities. As if that was not bad enough, then the corrupt government decided there needed to be an agency handle them so the startup costs went from 225,000 to 400,000. The only companies who could rent these kiosks are those willing to write the expenses off as advertising. BTW, if you want to sell Cachaça there is only one brand allowed since they have the contract, of course with kickback. Also was offered two kiosks on polluted Guanabara Bay with the assurances that new laws had just been passed guaranteeing it would be cleaned up for the Olympics. We all know how that has turned out. I also considered providing the materials for the new Kiosks that would last and not look like crap after a year. Again, the government loved the idea as long as they were the only ones making money (legally and illegally).

Greedy Brazilians who have no interest in long-term relationships, corruption wide and deep, and people whom I have seen screw over everyone and anyone time and time again are the reasons Brazilians can only blame themselves for their current situation.

So, the short answer would be, yeah, I know a little about the kiosks.

Side-note: I still do business in Brazil and with Brazilians. I just keep my wallet, with an embedded tracking chip, on a short chain and always in sight.

Went to buy a Christmaspresent for my d*ck today.

First I passed by U24. A weird place, they have a few quality girls but session in those filthy cabins with blasting funk music takes away the pleasure.

A very pleasant atmosphere in the privê, like they really wanted you to feel welcome.

I chose Safira. Since Sperto didn't give the room number of the prive, the report is not very useful to those who might actually want to go to this place. It is probably Room 1708. Angel (blonde, 20) and Priscilla (brunette, 25) are very nice.

As the forum have become a happy-to-take-and-give-nothing-in-return-forum to much information might ruin for those who really cares to explore privées. Too many gringos going to a small privê will ruin it quickly.

Those who have done their homework will figure out the correct sala quickly. Lurkers who wants everything for free might have difficulties. They might even have to do some doorknocking by themselves.

I have seen tourists pistol-whipped by pimps, have had a few confrontations with dudes, seen girls get threatened to get killed by other girls with shanks etc.

You can have a perfectly good time but alot of dudes, especially on fridays / saturdays untill about 3-4 am are coked up and drunk and it a sausage fest those nights.

Later it calms down but too many dudes at VM is a no no.

I can't understand why somebody would give the impression that VM is a dangerous place? Vila Mimosa is a must-see to any monger going to Rio. Nowhere else in Brazil will you find 72 puteiros in one place with about 1500 GPs working. Go there (dress down and take the bus, metro, taxi) and enjoy yourself. If you don't find any girl you like, then at least you have seen the famous VM. If you shit your pants you can go back to your robe-terma.

VM looks rough, smells and have a lot of funny characters. Never have I've met anybody at VM who glared at me because I'm a gringo. I've been there countless times the last two decades, every day of the week and just about all hours and I can't recall I've ever seen any danger at all. The same goes for all my buddies who frequents VM. One reason VM is safe is because they have their own security, even though you might not notice them.

Side-note: Beaches. The beaches in Zona Sul today are extremely crowded. A long time since I've seen that many people on the beach. The povão is enjoying the summer. Lots of ugly and rude suburbanos eating faroffa and getting pissed on 51-cachaça. They can be quite entertaining to watch, but the locals here dislike what they consider to be "gente feia".

Went to Solariumm tonight and the place was closed! Never seen that at all in all the years I have been coming to Brazil. Closed for the holiday maybe? Does anyone know?

I was there when it went down quite a few times and just because you didn't doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Doesn't have anything to do with me. I look brazilian and speak portuguese.

I have been there all times of day and night and in many favelas at funkes etc etc.

Its is great fun but just be aware.

Also some of girls are thieves and will have some come and take a phone out of pants if you leave by door (I keep clothes close, or around ankles) - this I know because we have bailed out a few gringoes who lost phones this way .

Sorry for the confusion.

Not sure if this is the place to ask this, but am low on options. Seems I'm about to be a father, with a non-pro that I've been banging (so she says). I don't know what to do, what ramifications this has, how it affects my future trips to Brazil, etc. Anybody with any advice and direction would appreciate hearing.

Not surprisingly they just told on the news that there were many robberies and arrastões in Zona Sul this weekend. A Korean tourist couple gott robbed and cut with knife at Arpoador.
In Jericoacoara, in Ceará, a German girl got robbed and raped.

I noticed on my morning-run that Dolce Vita was opened at 5.30. I havn't seen them open that late before. Maybe there are more mongers in town right now?
