As for combatting the hideous Ladyboys, I will give a little monetary gift to the Nana Hotel guards and ask them to warn me whether the she really is a she (there are rare occasions that you can be fooled). The guards check their IDs. Last year, when I protested in utter disgust when a ladyboy tried to pass as a girl, the guards explained in a chuckle that they didn't intervene because many Farangs like ladyboys. Ugh! After that, they were prepared to warn me.

I really do prefer the Nana Parking Lot to the gogo dancers. Last year, I had a rough couple of times one night but then I hit the jackpot.

Nana Parking lot is still 1000-1500 Baht,

There are a few girls that will only do 1500 baht, they seem to get it so have no reason to take less,

If they want 1500 and you like them, well "what the hell" you are on vacation,

As far as 700, I guess with that "you get what you pay for" and I think you will get more of a rush job at that low price,

It does cost these girls some money to "work" the parking lot, many live a long way from Nana and need to take a taxi home if its later than the BTS runs, plus hair, make-up and clothes.

If you are told 2000 baht or more its just a polite way of saying they do not want to go with you, no big deal, thats one of the reasons they are there, they get to pick if they want to "go with you"

Sorry this is a very late report.

This was my first visit to Thailand apart from a very short trip with a non mongering friend when I was around 18. We went to Patpong but there was no action had and I was going to make up for missed opportunities 20 years later.

I arrived in Bangkok on my way home from Australia in January. It was quite late around 11. 00 pm and I was knackered so was not expecting much from my first night. Taxi from airport was easy and I had tried to book Nana Hotel but they had not replied to my e-mail. But headed there anyway. As we got closer my tiredness started to disappear as I saw more and more beauties and by the time we pulled into the parking lot I had spotted Nana Plaza opposite and I knew I had to get there asap. Crap recepton at the hotel but they fixed me up with a room. It was good enough as it was clean enough (no cockroaches) had Wifi and was just across from the action. I was keen to go so showered and got out here quickly.

Got grabbed at by a couple of the ladyboys as I made my way across the road but made it safely (heart beating like shit) and entered the Plaza. At first site it was less busy and maybe smaller than expected and I did a lap of the ground floor to try to take it in. As I ended the lap a couple of guys doing the same thing said we 'we walked too quickly' and I had made the same mistake. So I grab a beer and sit to watch the goings on. First impressions after the beer is that it is really much more chilled out there than I had expected. I spotted a black girl leaving who caught my eye (I was not anticipating too many and I do prefer black so that was a good sign). Anyhow time was ticking so I decided to do the whot etour so ventured up the broken escalator and looked around. I decided that I wanted a quick ST to leave myself an option for LT, and hooked up with a bar girl pretty quickly. It was good but I would not repeat as I wanted to have as much fun as possible.

After this I had a few beers in the bar oppoiste NP by the hotel. There was a shit hot black girl in there but she was with someone so I watched her and the cummings anf goings until closing. As the offical bar closed plastic chairs and a cool box were placed on the pavement and a temporary bar was opened LOL. Anyhow the black girl had gone and I decided to call it a night and went to the hotel. But the drink and girls got the better of me and I decided to venture out just to see if I could snare someone for the night. I think I went down Soi 5 and I could see girls on the opposite side but had to walk a while before I came across a bridge to cross whcih I did. Walking back I came across some black girls and to my delight one I had spotted earlier who I quickly took back with me and saw again over my trip as she was so good.

Next night I ventured to soi cowboy and had a good time in one of the bars ther with two floors and the glass ceiling. I took a girl from there. Not a dancer but she was outside and I feared the worst as I thought she was too hot but to my surprise she was an animal in bed too. Next night I tried Patpong but it was a bad experience. Went upstairs to a joint following another group in thinking more safety in numbers. I sat down and an ugly fat bird sat next to me. Tere was a fatter uglier one stripping on stage. I ordered a beer and the fat girl asked for one but I refused. Next thing there are two drinks placed in fron of me and no bill arrives. Stood up and demanded the bill which was inclusive of stage show and girly drink. Kicked up a fuss and got it down but still ended up paying way over the odds and never finished my drink.

Had a few days in Pattaya before returning and just took in NP and the delights there which were great. Took a better room in Nana Hotel which was worth the money. I like this place as it is so convenient to just take the money you need and slip back for more when you need it. Also booked viagra, kamagra and cialis easily and all worked fine.

I live in South Florida. I like the weather and the beaches, but it takes 20 hours to fly to HKG or 23 hours to fly to BKK on the shortest direct route. That's why I used to enjoy breaking up the flight and stopping over in Amsterdam for a few days on my way to Thailand. I am going to consider stopping off in San Francisco or Portland on my next trips to South East Asia.

AVOID the upstairs bars of Patpong at all costs. They are notorious for ripping people off. If they pull that shit just go get the tourist police; they will almost always sort it out as they are used to that con.

My advice: AVOID ROCKET A-GO-GO! And make sure you know the price of a drink before you order.
