Not sure what's wrong with either of those. Lots of beautiful women from Venezuela. While I know people who have the same experience in Medellin including me, it could be the fact that we're looking for love in the wrong places in Medellin. I find that if they start taking you around to their extended family then they might actually like you. Best policy is to not look for love in the first place. Who knows though maybe I'm just an optimist.

Some advice picked up in research on high altitude:

"If you plan to travel to an elevation higher than 8,000 feet above sea level or higher, you may be at risk for altitude illness, which is caused by low oxygen levels in the air. To minimize the risk of altitude illness do not drink alcohol or do heavy exercise for at least the first 48 hours after you arrive at an elevation above 8,000 feet.

Acute mountain sickness (AMS) is the mildest form of altitude illness. Symptoms include:

Headache.

Tiredness.

Lack of appetite.

Nausea.

Vomiting.

High-altitude cerebral edema (HACE) is a more serious form of AMS. Symptoms include:

Extreme fatigue.

Drowsiness.

Confusion.

Loss of coordination.

People with pre-existing medical conditions should talk with a doctor before traveling to high elevation.

People with heart or lung disease should talk to a doctor who is familiar with high-altitude medicine before their trip.

People with diabetes need to be aware that their illness may be difficult to manage at high elevation.

Medicines are available to prevent acute mountain sickness and shorten the time it takes to get used to high elevations. Talk to your doctor about which is best for you given your medical history and trip plans. ".

But you don't have to see them again. Giving them half is opening yourself up to major disputes and a potential bullseye on your back. I like the city though.[/QUOTE]I'm hanging alot on your reports. I'm booked for my first Bogota trip and I'm second guessing myself. Unlike most cities I've visited, I'm worried about finding places at nigjt. My expectations for the SF bars are pretty low but I'm hoping to be surprised. In a good way. LOL.

Most chicas speak some english but very few are fluent. The ones I've met that are fluent typically have day jobs that require working with Americans, or work in outsourcing centers, or in one case, a chica that was a Avianca flight attendant. My spanish isn't great but I can get by well enough.

I'm staying in Chapinero and have visited and sampled in a couple casas. Nothing to write home about. When I see more I'll write a comparison with Medellin which I'm very familiar with.

You start it a few days before going and the first few days of your trip. With more frequent trips to Bogota, the altitude seemed to be less of a problem. Thing is with compared to other Colombian cities, the traffic is worse, the pollution affects my sinuses, and the worst side effect for me with altitude often is insomnia. Within 48 hours, my nose is usually pouring but the OTC nasal spray sold in pharmacies works well to alleviate those symptoms.

Ironically, two of the best cities I have been to with regards to mongering have been Bogota and Mexico City. It never registered with me that maybe the altitude keeps away a lot of tourists in both cities, but maybe it should have. When the pandemic hit, those two cities were absolute gold mines.

More like no Americans at all. I have not yet checked out Santa Fe.
I've gotten a driver to take me around to some casas, so far I think the Medellin providers have their Bogota compatriots trumped in terms of looks although that may not be a fair comparison as I've been with so many Medellin gals compared with just a few Bogotanas in mediocre casas. I have a lot more time remaining in this city to make a more just comparison.

With regards to the altitude my splitting headache has gone but I still find myself sort of gasping for breath sometimes even when I'm not doing anything. My nose is runnier than usual but I have no insomnia problems. However, I continue to feel better with each passing day.

Only city I have seen comparable to Medellin with looks woman wise was Barranquilla and the P4 P scene is not as strong there.

I have met some nice paisas though. Nevertheless, I do feel safer walking around Bogota than Medellin. Today I'm heading from my hotel in Chapinero towards the direction of the Zona de Tolerencia; there is so much to see in that part of Bogota apart from the SWs. Looking to do La Candeleria and the Museo National.

Truth is, that's why I moved to regular trips to CO instead.

Of Rio Because the scene just died. I swear I had no idea how amazing I had it. Entering a giant nightclub and ever girl wanting you. It felt like a crazy night every night. Their accents "you wanty fucky her o fucky me?" That said, there are dimes but the price doubled to 400, however it's still great compared to the states and the flights seem cheap still.
