To answer your question about street working girls in parque lleras: absolutely yes! You can find them walking all over the park. You see them in groups coming out of a taxi or even from the metro.

Here is a belated report of a trip I took at the beginning of June with two buddies from school. I landed in the airport from Ft. Lauderdale via Jet Blue. WOW those SWs are out of shape! For safety, it appears that Poblado is the only place to stay, but it's a good question about taking public transportation to this area from there. Is it safe? There is a learning curve in Medellin and it will take you at least a few trips to get your feet firmly planted on the ground. It looks like you are off to a good start and making connections.
Continue to be smart and hit the usual spots. Drifting off the path too far will slow down your learning curve, and leave you confused, so stay on the path.
Make connections daily with the culture. Don't hit on most of the girls that you meet and treat them as people and not sex objects. If you do this it will increase your connections with the working girls.

For SWs is Parque Lleras read Brazilsoccer0's post 5 posts down. I agree with him but know that you need an A game with charming personality. IMO, the women in MDE are the most facially-beautiful women I've seen anywhere except possibly Sao Paulo. However, for great natural bodies, I'd put many other places ahead. Of course, if one doesn't mind silicone / surgical enhancement, you'll love the bodies as well as the faces in MDE.
There are actually plenty of well-educated / cultured women in MDE. I have met a few. It's just that you won't find them at New Life or the Mansion or Fase Dos. But you need language skill and more importantly, time, to develop something with these Paisas.
