My experience is that being Anglo Saxon you have to spend more money to get the same service as what others are getting for much less. This is also so in Asia especially in China. It is called the gringo or leowai tax. Generally in most if not all destinations Anglo Saxons are required to pay more because traditionally they have paid more even when not required to. If the price is fixed and you are white be prepared to pay a tip which is not expected of others. We are doomed by the behavior of others.

Hey guys. Yet another trip in the pipeline. In a few weeks.
So in my last trip (I forget if I commented on this already) I found an unexpected source of fun in the lesbian bars. One in Barbacoa in particular. At any rate, I ended up doing a couple of checas there. It was one of those things that just happenned. I have been to the houses of many working girls and regular girls, most live in very sketchy barrios, so keep your eyes open and don't carry too much cash with you.

I have met a bunch of girls in their barrios all throughout Medellin. I went out of my way to do this.
Some girls won't want to be seen with you in their house and neighborhood. Surprisingly, many will.
If you are still unsure when you get here send me a pm and I will go with you. Only about 5%-10% of the city is really bad. Other than these areas, the worse the neighborhood the better for me. I get a rush entering the upper half of the hillside barrios.
