Actually in just about any jurisdiction (INCLUDING here in Colombia) when it comes to sex with a minor ignorance of the girl's REAL age is not considered a valid defense. Of course here the age is 14 country wide unless she's either a sex worker or a virgin. Under NORMAL circumstances if a 16 or 17 year old gets fake ID *(good fake ID is REAL easy to get here) and is working as a hooker it's not like they're going to start tracking down scores and scores of clients.... but if you're really high profile it all of a sudden can turn into a real feeding frenzy&witch hunt :S

You got a good point regarding their bullshit about money, finances.
