Nice first report Custom. I am glad to see that my favorite club is getting back on track. Lot of things can be said about the facilites at Oase, but I think this is the first time I have seen them described as clean. You must have been blinded by all them nekkid birds :-)

I meant clean in the sense that the ashtrays and trash cans (even in the Kino) were emptied regularly, dishes cleared prommptly, towel baskets emptied and fresh hot ones available. Plenty of liquid soap in showers. The fact that the doors were open and the fresh air let in also helped, I think. I have been in a lot worse places.

Would have been better to submit this in June, but such is life. Booked a room at the Mercure in Friedrichsdorf. I read the sign, witnessed what is left of the garden, and talked to a couple of the girls and staff about it. The main objectives seems to be to upgrade the sauna facilities and not at least: putting up a brand new outdoor pool. Up to date World has been the only of the Big Three with such a facility, but it looks like Oase like to rival World in this respect.

There are also some signs that Oase will expand the outdoor facilities, but I have not had this confirmed.

I was glad to hear that the outdoor restaurant will still be there. The restaurant and the "catwalk" to get to it has always been a great attraction IMHO.

As thrilled as I am to see the outdoors at Oase be upgraded, I would soooo like to see an indoor renovation as well. It could be simple things like changing the sheets of the sofas, but to be honest, it would be better if chairs and sofas were replaced. They also need a new ventilation system for the main area. The slippers desperately need to be replaced, and a new "slipper-system" needs to be implemented so that they are less disgusting than normal. It is actually an easy thing to fix. The folks at Palace and World do it, so why not at Oase? The towels need to be replaced or better washed. They try to launder too many towels at once and they do not really get clean. It's grouse. The list goes on and on ...

Is it too much to ask ...?

I agree with most of the other stuff you said but the slippers problem is soooo easy! Just bring your own. I do, not just to Oase but to every club I visit. No more issues about hygene, finding the right size or 1 that's comfortable wear.

How funny is that. I had the exact same thought watching the workers. At OASE they are almost all outside but I did see a couple tortured workers wanter through. When Palace rebuilt their sauna last year there were 4 workers in the club proper all day long. Did they get hazard pay?
