It's the Mercure Friedrichsdorf. Only takes 10 minutes by taxi from there to Oase, about 10 euro. The buffet breakfast there is quite good, if a little pricey at 17 euro.

The best hotels in the area are Mercure (address Im Dammwald, currently bookable thro [url]www.hotel.de[/url] at 39 euros without breakfast but with use of a swimming pool) and Arcadia (in shopping centre near the station, price seems to vary between 55 and 75 euros with breakfast, nice big rooms, some with kitchenette). There are several others. Taxis cost 8-10 euros, no need to tip as the driver gets 5 euros from the establishment as a reward.
They say it's bad practice to go with the first lady you set eyes on but I seem to be doing this all the time now. On this occasion it was Alexis, mid-20s Hungarian, very nice body and good attitude. Versatile in what she offers. Only 3 minor irritants. Good to hear from you again. Sorry we missed each other at Oase last trip due to the trip to World instead because of the crew that I was with. The hotel that you are referring to is:

The room price is €39 for a classic single room with own shower bathroom if you book in advance and not during a messe. For example, I am trying to book for mid February when there is a messe on and even now 3 months ahead it is €97 a night at Hotel Mercure in Friedrichsdorf.
Breakfast at the Mercure is €17 extra which I usually do not take as I eat breakfast at Oase. The Oase breakfast is a boiled egg, rolls or croissants, various spreads like butter and jam and cereals with milk. The Oase breakfast is not as good as Hotel Mercure’s buffet breakfast of cold meats, cheeses, various breads, juices, cereals and fruits but you are not paying €17 for it. I usually book the Hotel Mercure in Friedrichsdorf well in advance to take advantage of the early bird discount.
The Mercure hotel is chain hotel that provides a good standard room. The area is fairly quiet. If you get a room on the road side and leave the windows open then there is road noise. The place is clean and tidy and there is an indoor swimming pool and sauna which in all my visits I have never used. Shame it does not have naked girls then I would just never leave Hotel Mercure. There is also the free car park.
Taking a taxi from Hotel Mercure to Oase costs around €8-10 and takes about 5 minutes for the 5 kilometre journey. I know the way well since in the summer when it is warm I actually walk from the Hotel Mercure to Oase and it takes me about 40-45 minutes at a brisk pace.
The taxi drivers I have seen take a €10 commission for bringing a client to Oase whether by their recommendation or by instruction of their client. The taxi driver usually comes into the reception after you come in and paid your €65 entry fee and the reception lady pays the taxi driver from the till receipts on issuance of an chit from the taxi driver.

Personally I like the new B & B that just opened a months ago.
B & B is a French chain (similar to Etap) but a few rungs higher in quality. Singles are usually about 46 EUR.
The B & B Frankfurt Nord is about a five to eight minute drive to Oase. The address is "Heinrich-Lanz-Alle 3" in 60437 Frankfurt. Close to the IKEA and Hornbach, and very autobahn friendly. Also it is next door to a McDonald's that has a 24 HR drive through.
WiFi is free and the rooms are nice and clean.

Yeah, sorry about the lack of a BK. However there is a new Autobahn Rastsätte heading southbound on the A5 ("Taunusblick") that has a BK, I think. Not open that late, but it's a possibility if you need a fix.
One other little plus with the B&B is that it's not so hard to reach with the U-Bahn. The station "Bonames Mitte" is between 2 and 3 km from the hotel. Not an unreasonable walk and a very quick taxi ride.
I stayed at the Savoy once. A little shabby for a 4-star, but certainly a good deal at 44 EUR.

Continued from Part I in Bernd's and Part II in World threads.
After business on Wed and Thurs in Munich I visited Oase on Fri night Nov 7th. And this was kind of where I went wrong on my trip. First, the business involved some intense scrutiny of data, and with a "work hard, play hard" mentality, we went for long evening sessions at the Augustinerkeller on Wed and Hofbraeuhaus on Thurs. Places where, when you order a beer, it comes as a liter. This is not conducive to moderation. Bavarian beer is weaker than in the rest of Germany, but, geez, not that much.
At least I got to sleep in Fri but still not enough. I visited BMW Welt (new, very fancy delivery center) and the brand new BMW Museum (quite futuristic, I had vertigo the whole time from the layout reinforced by what I'd call space music) because that was 5 min from my hotel. Then I stopped at the Bamberg cathedral on my way back to Frankfurt/Burgholzhausen because in all my travels in Germany I had never seen the Bamberger Reiter nor the famous Ecclesia and Synagoge sculptures. Worth a detour.
It was after dinner and I was tired and probably should have just rested up. But here I am in Burgholzhausen less that a mile from Oase and thinking, why did I come all this way? So, after a nap I did head over. Got there around 10 PM.
Friday night at Oase! What a rush. Lots of men, even more women (50 or more? ), all eyeing you eagerly as a potential target. In general I'm with you on this one. While I don't turn my nose up at some of the gloriously nubile talent at the clubs, I'm often seen running around some of these dens with the finest in MILF talent. . And I didn't mean to imply that my discomfort in conversing with many of those 19 year olds is their fault.
