I just started following her on youtube. Is her advice pretty sound or is it just shit?

There are two vloggers I would recommend others follow. One is Smart Girl Irish, as in the vid link. The other is The Filipina Pea. Both ladies speak good english and "tell it like it is". SGI covers the raunch side of life in Phils more.

However, a caution: These ladies' intended audience is expats, or at least fellas interested in dating pinay. Their vids might be useful to the 2-week warriors, who return regularly and are interested in what makes filipina tick, but moreso their vids are for fellas wanting to live here for long periods of time. Now, by far the most attractive foreigner online to a Pina is some one back home who can be moulded into a LDR simp or Sponsor. Because my trips are business orientated to begin with, I need to have things planned in advance. So there's not a chance to make decisions on the run, like I used to when I was a fair bit younger. Therefore I have to sort an itinerary and hotels upfront.

I too had an extensive contact list. But I've trimmed it right back. Every now and then you need fresh talent, and even the ones you block on WhatsApp, still find a way of trying to contact you. The great thing about having the contact list is, you know you can get results immediately whilst looking for other options.

If I didn't take the profitable FL route I'm experienced with, and started paying unreasonable bar fines, budgets would dramatically change for me.

I still eat well in the Philippines but I will admit I do miss the food from other Asian countries where I can walk into any restaurant and find a delicious meal. A personal favourite is Thailand, Indonesia etc with Michelin rated cholera carts on every corner. Their street food is delicious.

I'm the opposite: I pack light and book accommodation a few days at a time. If I'm having a good time, then I stay. If I'm over it, I move on. Its nothing unusual for me to wake up, decide that it's time to move on and be in another town by lunchtime.

My contacts serve multiple purposes. Most cities I go to now have zero set up time and known entities provide a good fall back if the apps aren't providing or there is a drought for whatever reason. My contacts also cover the full range: wild childs to librarians who are closet nymphos; stunning 19 yos to hot mamas who are built for comfort. I keep a couple who's expertise is to get blood from a stone when I'm tired and empty towards the end of a trip.

Bars serve a purpose for some guys just not me anymore. It doesn't help that I have fond memories of times when bargirls were hot, fresh and fun. Let's not discuss dance troupes and pole dancers who were truely entertaining. Now I can't sit and watch a bored girl shuffle around a pole only to be over charged for drinks and mediocre service.

I don't need five star hotels but I do need western food.

I don't drink nor bar hop very much at all. Maybe binge one night for the whole trip.

I know the lay of the land and have an extensive Contacts list so my $/ shot is pretty low. Having said that, multiple girls per day isn't a rarity.

I travel around a lot while in country. This adds to my travel expenses and nightly accommodation costs.

Settling in one place would halve my housing and food costs. I doubt I would save any pussy costs.

I come back now nice condo in Makati for a month $1500 and spend around 6500 to 7 k when I visit. But this will not be my retirement budget. On my visits I'm wide open, bars every night, movies, dating nice restaurant's drinking allot everyday. I wake up every morning either with a girl I know or a new barfine. I may rest 4 or 5 days the other days its burning the candle at both ends. Could you spend more, I guess but for me ID be dead. I figure retired allot of things will change. One thing I will not go balls to the wall as ill have all the time in the world. Once or twice a week getting laid will be plenty and ill reduce the bars and drinking by allot. Where I live, $1500/ mo would cover your rent and maybe your utilities for a very basic lifestyle. Certainly no eating out, rental pussy or social life. Most financial advisors peg a basic retirement at $30 k per year. Anything above subsistence living will be closer to $50 k at least. Again, no financial planners seem to include fucking 19 yo students in their spreadsheets.

I enjoy the Philippines but living there full time would drive me nuts. I've also got commitments back home. Hence, I fall into the category above the two week warrior but short of the full time resident. A 58 day stay cost me about US $5 k per month inclusive of everything:

$1000 International travel & visas.

$250 Domestic travel (P100/ day taxis and P1000/ week for bus or flights).

$2000 Hotels (2 star but good location).

$2000 Food & Drinks (P1500 per day for Western meals for me plus the occasional guest. I'm not a big drinker nor barfly).

$2000 Girls (P2000/ day province babe + 15 k Makati / Burgos blow out before leaving).

$1000 Sourcing costs (first dates, meals for her friends, finders fees, internet subscriptions etc).

$1000 Entertainment & Non mongering (P4000/ day diving plus tourist trips etc).

$500 Data & Incidentals.

Generally, I travel light, live simply but move around a lot. Relocating has its costs as I don't get cheaper monthly rentals but has the advantage of if I like somewhere, I stay, if I don't, then I move elsewhere.

As a comparison, a domestic holiday would cost the same weekly, not monthly and there would be no pussy included. Certainly no 20 yo pussy.

The market is considerably cheaper for fresh meat and produce and labor is still cheap but to have a quality of life you need around $1,000 per week.

In USD, I've seen some crazy prices: $100 k for a flatscreen Tv when they first came out, $10 for a lettuce, $20 for a small box of Kellogs Cornflakes, $15 for an ice-cream.

I've also had a dinner for $1 per head, a beach side room for $15, kept taxis for days at $2 per hour. There are also slanderous rumours that I paid girls $7 for the weekend (in the good 'ol days) or $40 for a 24 HR LT (now) but those are totally unfounded. 😜.

In the end it doesn't make much sense, the only thing I'm getting out of it is that the system is rigged in such a way for regular shmucks like me, regardless of the country, to get all your money, while keeping you alive to produce some more, only the level of comfort differs. Once you stop working, and don't need to be physically present to produce it, you have the freedom of taking the money allocated to keep you alive in an expensive place, and spend it in another where certain commodities that you're interested into, like "pork belies" or pussy are cheaper. Or maybe the weather is to your liking. And that's exactly what I'm doing.
