the heritage hotel is located across the street from the edsa complex and a 15 minute drive away from ermita.it is the closest large hotel to the airport and has a casino.pasay prices are lower then burgos prices,but cebu is still more"barato" or cheaper,it is sunny here right now cannot say the same for manila

I have enjoyed reading the many post and took some notes but misplaced them.

I'm arriving in Manila August 3rd early in the day.
I'm traveling alone so I have always been a little intimidated by Manila.

I usually get a flight to Cebu as fast as I can.

I know I'm missing out on some "fun" in Manila.

If I tried one night in Manila I read that EDSA complex is a good place Harrison Plaza, London Underground plus LA cafe in Ermita.

Question: what would be a reasonable hotel to stay at that is in the area of EDSA/LA Cafe?

One post said the Heritage Hotel (??????).

Any recommendations will be appreciated.

Just my two cents about Gpoint. I went there during a recent storm. The bar was sparse with lovelies. There were some babes playing pool but not much else. LA Cafe, otoh, had been much busier earlier that same evening but with some really hagged regulars. Also at Gpoint there was this really loud and fat woman singing which made it hard to talk to anyone. Overall, I guess i'll go back when it's not pouring with rain.

I wanted to post to thank Pat Rain for posting the contact info of his guide Jay R, my times in Manila after hooking up with this guy really went up several notches. He definitely knew the spots in the city, I mean I went looking for women one night and places to target shoot the next day and he knew where without even researching now that's a guide. Pat was right when he said this guy will get you home even after you're passed out drunk. Gotta have a little tip money, he does have a family to feed =)

In the local vernacular, "Ok Fine, Whatever" (which is actually the name of a pretty good TV show in Manila) ... I went out for a quick beer and someone I turned down 2 weeks ago offered short-time for P300. Ok, fine! P100 short-time, touch wherever, do whatever. She's actually quite acceptable and was very nice tonight, about 6pm. Almost regretting that I had "stuff" I had to go do instead. So know, if you're here for a while, not only do they come to you, but even if you dont' have the personality for "friendly relations" (hah! like I do?) then you _can_ still enjoy for petty cash. Cebu local, The G-Point population varies each night, but if you have the night free, show up about 8, bide your time and your beers, be friendly and your odds are good. G-Point "happy hour" are noon-9pm (SMB draft for P30, plus they have daily "specials" on drinks Hope you pick the right night. It's definately "rainy season" here now, so I've not been out for over a week, I don't know how many others go when it's this _wet_ - we're talking a LOT of water.

The "pros" wander in and out from the other bars at random - you can get one of those for P500 to P1000; barfine? what's a barfine at G-Point? They just run a nice friendly place for people to meet. I've never actually paid someone to go home with me there, but I once gave someone P100 to go away and have dinner without me.

I have however casually strolled home with a friend's friend and shared some more drinks and some good conversation, and some ummm, well, she wants to see me again; spoke to her today. Money had nothing to do with it, she's looking for love and who am I to argue with that?

Spent a week in Manila, and here's my report:

My goal was not to find rock-bottom prices, but to get good and laid with a minimum of hassle.

I stayed at the Copacabana Hotel. A very nice place right across the street from the EDSA Entertainment Complex, a venue of about 10 clubs with 200 women there at any given time. The hotel is completely guest friendly. The security guards out in front even suggested that some in-room company was the best way to spend an evening when the typhoon hit. They would always call me on the phone when the girl left with the message:"your lady visitor has gone home". Only one time, with a particularly young looking girl who had "forgotten" her ID card, there was a bit of questioning (understandable), but after a short interrogation (she convinced them that she had just turned 18) they let her come up with me (for a memorable session). Try to get room 1126 there if you can, as it is big, nice airconditioner, good TV, and in back away from street noise (1600 pesos/day). If you stay there, walk down to the Bacalaran Seafood market 1 KM away, pick some shrimp, crab, lobster, and they will cook it up for you there delicious....but on to other appetites......

I liked the Firehouse best at the EDSA Complex. Rates were always the same in all the clubs (seemed kinda high) 1000 barfine and 2000 for the girl, equalling about $60 US. That is the same as Adelitas in TJ, without having to go 7000 miles, but what you get is way different. The girls all young, cute, and loving, many are slender knockouts. Real GFE action. You are the boss. They stay as long as you want, ( I told them I was a 3 hour man which they respected). All the kissing, hugging, loving, and sex you can handle. They all allowed pictures being taken of them. Needless to say, I had a great time. Probably could have saved a few bucks, but for US$90/day, had a great hotel and a great lady every night. (That's what I paid in Los Angeles for a crummy motel room upon my return, with only a porno mag to entertain me).

By the way, it is fairly easy to find a "real" girlfirend while in the Philippines. I recommend the Glorietta Mall in Makati. Just walk around being friendly looking and chat some of the girls up (go for younger and prettier than you would expect at home). They will date you. Had a couple of nice dates (during the day) with a local. Never had intercourse with her (would have taken a couple of more days than I had), but ended up on my hotel bed with my hand up her panties the second date. A good appetizer for the evening's activities, and a fun way to spend the daylight hours.

By the way, the nice advantage in the Philippines is that most of the girls speak passable English, which makes it a whole lot better. Happy hunting.

Yes, G-Point sounds at the very least, intriguing. Just recovering from a break-up, and perhaps this place might be a quiet alternative from your run-of-the-mill, well, "noisy" places.

Will give this one a try perhaps this weekend, anybody out there with similar plans?

Ermita, more G-Point

A few days later (gf came home in between); just to prove the point, my next beer nite at the Gpoint had me walking home hand-in-hand down Mabini with my friend's friend for some more drinks and to talk (Short version!). We had some wonderful conversations (we really *did* talk a lot). Sorry, no details; you don't need those, you can figure out the rest. It was a *date*. Money? There was none of that silliness, except I insisted she not return the P100 I put in her pocket (3 times) for her taxi home at 8am. Yes, it can happen that way, and yes, she wants to see me again. We'll probably arrange that when I'm able - cell #s are great that way, We've txt'd a few times since then, so I know it's as real as sje was that night, which is VERY real.

I just have to say *thanks* to all the guys that are just out for short-time pros, cause you make life for simple guys like me wonderful. Good thing the WSG resource is anon, or I'd get in deep shit, but it is, so I can share some basics.

This is an interesting place for a beer or 5 when you're bored or just want a nice nite out. The manager, Michael, runs a great place; buy him a drink and and if you're a good guy he may drop a few on your table whether you want them or not. Get to know him, and if he feels y ou're cool he'll clue you in so that you don't leave with someone you need to be concerned about and if you can't figure things out yourself he'll give you enough pointers that you'd have to be a total idiot to leave alone unless you want to. He's gave me some 100% respectively accurate thumbs up and down. As for checking it out for real, oh yeah, I don't do stuff like that - I *must* remember that! :-)

On a decent night, the "foreigner/local" male ration is about 10:1, and the gender ratio is about 1:1; maybe a bit better. Buy a beer, sit back, and see what comes to you, but know that the best ones will be the shy ones. This seems to be about as close at one can get to a reasonably well-populated regular "friendly" bar around
here, at least the closest I've found.

The seems to be place where the LA Cafe girls come when life is slow in their regular abode. The G-point regulars don't seem to have very much good to say about the LA Cafe girls. Sometimes you may show up and there's nobody, sometimes you can't even get your first sip of beer before some LA overflow Shabu skank that couldn't find a john back there is trying to give you a tongue tonsilectomy, like what happenend to me last night. I finally, nicely, gave her P100 to go have dinner (without me!); I guess I paid her to just go away, which was a very good move in retrospect, since I later met a great real woman. [We won't mention that I wouldn't have felt too safe in the neighbourhood the LA girl wanted to take me to.] The good one I met after that is just a professional (secretary and it's easy to tell that's the truth) who's job went away when her employer went tits-up, so there's good potential after another visit or two, which since I'm not in any major panic for a date works just fine for me. She knows I'm not a "customer" for her and that if I ever invite her over she's making coffee in the morning because she *wants* to. She's cool with that, so I'm glad I went back for those 2 beers.

Anyway, the LA Cafe overflow seems to start at P1000 but will drop to P500 in about 14 seconds once they understand the cash isn't falling out of your overstuffed pockets. Would I snap up such an
offer? I passed. You do what you want.

I haven't actually entered into any negotiations with a non-LAcafe woman there, but I suspect that anyone worth spending all night with is likely going to be at least P1000, which is still pretty good for quality.

Speaking of LA Cafe, an honest talk with someone I bought a *coffee*d for at 1am tells me that it's a great place to go if you want womend all over you and you don't give a damn about who/what they are and you have money you're just dying to part with. Otherwise ... well, I'm in no particular hurry to it LA Cafe, and I only live a 5 minute walk away. So call me "picky". Either way, careful of the neighbourhood late at night.
